Crash on multi-hour wait/sleep

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 9:34 pm

Any time I have to wait or sleep for more than a two-hour increment, there's a game crash. It also applies to getting implants at the clinic as well.

(Also the forums search flood warning being bugged made me laugh. Hard.)

Ya I just started to get this sleep crash bug... it was after getting the marker to go to nipton when I rescued that twit in primm. Before that point I could speel as long as I wanted.

New info.. it seems I can sleep up to 5 hours no crash but at 6 hours it crashes every time.

I found the solution, it's because the timescale in the game is different. I had this issue too and I just figured to change the scale back to default, now it works, the bad news is you cant have it any other way:(

oh, got my timescale set at 1 (realtime), gonna try this in a bit, its strange i didnt have it crashing on FO3 when using an altered timescale, anyhow, thanks alot for posting this!

timescale was indeed the issue, works perfect now, thanks a ton! :)

Crashing when doctor says "This will take a few hours" when trying to complete Rex's brain quest.

i also had the game crashing just now everytime he wanted to implant rex's new brain, and once again, the timescale is the issue here, put the timescale back at default (30) and the quest will complete with rex having his new brain (also chose rey's), just change the scale back to whatever you had set it at after the quest completes ;)
