Crash near Kvatch!

As the title says. Oblivion crashes when I walk by Kvatch (from Anvil on my way to Skingrad). Always at that area. I *really* don't want to install/uninstall every mod one at a time (I will if need be) so I'm hoping someone here might know what's causing it. Virtual cookies icecream for whoever helps! :icecream:

Memory usage at time of crash is well below 1.8GB so that's (probably) not it. Knowing me, I probably just messed up something really simple.

Does it crash when you walk the opposite way? (Skingrad to Anvil).
It could be as simple as a corrupt spawn point. Try waiting out your cell reset period (usually 3 days) in Anvil first then walk by the area again.

I had this happen way back and it had to do with the UOP supplemental release a few versions back (this seemed to only affect my computer and one other person I know of). May be worth a try to disbale the UOP and test this or try the 3.2.0 version.

With your load order that is my 2 cents worth. Other than that maybe someone else will see something in one of your mods. Good luck.

I cannot straight away see why you are encountering this issue, but I do see that some mods that could do with updating (All Natural and Enhanced Economy are the first two I spotted).

The only other thing that is an obvious possibility (to me) is that any number of those mods might still have dirty and/or wild edits, and hence be in need of cleaning via TES4Edit.

Kvatch has always been a rather flaky section of the game world. Even for the best of us, the game has an annoying tendency of crashing for no reason in that area.

Does it crash when you walk the opposite way? (Skingrad to Anvil).
It could be as simple as a corrupt spawn point. Try waiting out your cell reset period (usually 3 days) in Anvil first then walk by the area again.

I had this happen way back and it had to do with the UOP supplemental release a few versions back (this seemed to only affect my computer and one other person I know of). May be worth a try to disbale the UOP and test this or try the 3.2.0 version.

With your load order that is my 2 cents worth. Other than that maybe someone else will see something in one of your mods. Good luck.

I cannot straight away see why you are encountering this issue, but I do see that some mods that could do with updating (All Natural and Enhanced Economy are the first two I spotted).

The only other thing that is an obvious possibility (to me) is that any number of those mods might still have dirty and/or wild edits, and hence be in need of cleaning via TES4Edit.

Already cleaned, following the guide posted somewhere.

Well if that's case I wouldn't really know. This is literally my third time in my 4+ years of playing Oblivion that I've walked by Kvatch. First two times were on Vanilla installs. If the other suggestions don't work, I guess I'll just keep trying till I make it. Or temporarily mod in a map marker past the area.

Edit: Tried it one more time and it didn't crash. Thanks for the help!
