As you can see it's Win7 64Bit - This is the ONLY game I have that doesn't work which is saying quite a bit. Installed DVD 1 G4WL GOTY version, updated to 1.7, then attempted to play.. Game crashes and needs to be closed in Task Manager.

Suggestions?

Do you have an Asus brand video card? If so, do you have Asus' GamerOSD or Smartdoctor utilities installed? If so, then uninstall them as they will interfere with the game.

At this point...no. Uninstall them because they will interfere with the game period. I don't see how they will prevent your other games from playing because they are merely GPU monitoring and overcloking utilities that can capture videos as well. No game relies on them to be there in order to work.

I think you missed the "I haven't got the rights' part of that, I can't remove it without rights.. The one with the rights is deceased making a bit hard to ask him.

Then your options now come to one of 2 things.
1. Give up.
2. Reformat.

Im sure theres some way to get into the admin account, but that requires work. XD

Seems a shame to give up, work would draw and quarter me if I reformatted - I will contact Bethesda, makes no sense the would release a game that has problems that makes it unable to play on current hardware available on release.

UPDATE: I got my answer from Nvidia who helped me remove the software from the registry level, somewhat lengthy but pretty straight-forward... Once removed and a clean-boot (just to be extra sure) the game started... I haven't tried with a normal startup yet but at least we know how to get it running... I'll try it with the DLC DVD next..
