Crash on save when an objectreference gets disabled

Hello!

I've been having a weird crash since the start of my game. Whenever an object gets disabled, such as by opening the console and disabling an object I clicked on or if a game script disables a reference object, the game will crash when I save. The save file will not be corrupted and if I load it back, I can save normally again.

Since it does not happen often and the save is never corrupted, I didn't mind. But it is indeed getting annoying when I am in a situation where I have to save often. This is a new problem I've never experienced since the last time I played in around 2008. I do remember that I sometimes had to disable references via the console window and could save without problems. In case it may be related, I always save on a new slot and I delete my previous saves once I get to around 100-150. In case the game crashed because I had too many saves, I kept 10 save files and tried to disable an object and save. It still crashed.

Using Wrye Bash, I tried the "Remove Bloat" function but it says that the save game has none. I checked the OBSE logs and noticed nothing wrong.

What's also strange is that saving with a disabled object crashes sometimes on a vanilla Oblivion and will always crash on a modded setup. Has anyone ever heard of an issue like this?

Depending on the item you disable, I don't see why it would crash (like if you disable a box or something).

What references are you having to disable? Also, where is the Remove Bloat function in Wrye Bash?

Any reference gets me a crash. It can be a rock, an NPC or a clutter item. It's pretty weird. Some quests disable references and that causes me to crash if I try to save in the cell where something got disabled. It'll be fine if I save again after reloading though.

For the bloat, right-click on your savefile and select "Remove Bloat".
