Crash upon selecting items in inventory

I don't know when this started, I pretty much ignored it until now, but it's getting annoying: regularly, about once out of 10-20 times when I click on an item in my inventory the game will crash. It happens only when the item is actually activated (equip/unequip, drink potions, etc.), not including actions like exchanging stuff with containers. It happens independently of playing time and other circumstances. The first few tries usually go through, but then it can happen every time. It feels like there is a preset chance for it every time I select an item.
I have never read about this specific cause for a crash so I wonder if it is this just another side effect of a heavily modded game or something that can possibly be corrected?
Any help is appreciated.

Please, post your load order (preferably via Wrye Bash). Also, mention if you are using any UI mods or OBSE plugins.

I've known crashes happening if you grind MMM gems etc. in inventory by selecting them, but this is new to me.

Most probably, some script is triggering as you equip/unequip. Think of mods that you added just before this problem happened for the first time. Or other mods that affect equipping/unequipping those items that cause crashing?

Here is my load order. I am using an UI mod, but it's a German one so you probably won't know it.
It happens across all types of items that trigger an action when activating them, I am not aware of any mod triggering a script in all of this cases. To me it seems like a general instability issue, just like any other crash it is more likely to happen when I have already played for a while, during battles or when I have already reloaded a save during that session.

Could you list your OBSE plugins as well? And have you tried disabling (by uninstalling) that UI mod?

Hmm... There's a ton of stuff after the Bashed Patch. Are all of those plugins supposed to be there? What about that interface mod? I haven't heard of it, the ESM. I'd try to pick out UI-related mods first: anything that changes menus. Maybe see if that crash goes away when you disable everything loading after the Bashed Patch as well. Just try to narrow your search down until you find the conflict. Your mod list is not too long, especially if you disable mods by functional groups.

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried without the UI mod and it made me realize that without it Oblivion loads up twice as fast. I have now switched to another UI mod that works better and the menu in general seems to be more responsive now. The crashs however are still there. :sad: The interface esm is nothing special, just includes one gamesetting. The mods after the Bashed Patch are mostly my own and I am reasonably sure they have nothing to do with it. But it's not so easy to pin down because the issue does not reliably occur within a short time frame. I already thought it was gone after I switched the UI but then it happened again. I hoped to avoid playing for hours just to test it out, but I might have no other choice.
