I have been trying to get New Vegas to work on my PC, and grabbed my save off of my console to continue using it.

Anyways after getting some larger mods (Mission Mojave, Project Nevada, Electro City, and others) I realized that my game keeps crashing when entering the strip (despite loading my save already in the strip, if I leave and try to re-enter, then it crashes), but now I know that it is from a mission called Debt Collectors, and that it is a bug from giving the cowboy hat during that one (and the only way to not crash is to always have an old cowboy hat).

I think that Mission Mojave triggered something (because it is a bug patch) within that quest, because I never crashed on the Strip before when I had nothing installed.

So does anyone know of a fix for this, other than always having an old cowboy hat in my inventory?
