Crash when trying to unequip clothesarmor?

Post » Tue Feb 04, 2014 8:54 am

I recently installed a few mods like body mods and every time I try to unequip clothes or armor (like the roughspun tunic) the game insta-crashes. Here's what I did:

I started with installing UNP Blessed Body Redux, then I installed Real Girls Realistic Body and said yes to overwrite all with NMM, then I installed the "women of skyrim enhanced female normalmaps" mod and the "seamless" thing optional mod, and then "no more ugly bronze shine", "superior lore-friendly hair" and finally eyes of beauty with a few optionals

Dunno why it doesn't work. I don't usually use body mods so...

I'm using the normal non-cleavage SFW if it makes any difference..

EDIT: Searching the matter it seems I'm not alone but the people having these issues don't post HOW they solved them, just that they solved them...

It might be because you are using a body mod that requires a custom skeleton mod. That is known to cause crashes when trying to remove armor. If it requires a certain skeleton, and if you know you installed the right one, check to be sure you don't have a mod overriding it. Some mods like height mods and the belt-fastened quiver mod are actually skeleton mods.

I've had the XP32 skeleton since forever so that isn't the issue here.

Further researching the matter it seems the "non-cleavage SFW" might be the culprit here as this one other guy reported it to malfunction, most probably missing a bone or something. I'll try reinstalling but selecting the cleavage version instead.

Solved it!

There IS an issue with the non-cleavage SFW version because now everything works!
