F3 crashes at the Birthday Party when talking to Stanley.

So, basically, I patched the game to 1.61, started playing and it was going smoothly. Until I got to he B-party, talked to pretty much everyone, but when I try to talk to Stanley the conversation proceeds normally, until just before his last line, I get the subtitles, but he is on mute. He simply makes no sound, immediately after I finish talking to him, I go to talk to someone else, but the game freezes completely, no matter whom I talk to.
I tried deleting the patch and playing the game straight from the box: same results.
Anyone knows of a workaround here?
I'm really pissed, I bought the game because I enjoyed Skyrim so much (wich, truth be said, is pretty buggy in itself, too), but I can't even play the sodding thing... sad, Bethesda, truly sad.

Firstly, if you hate Bethesda because of their glitches, then you make Fallout 3, Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas, go ahead, I insist, oh wait, you can't. Secondly.... uh.... go back to the store and try to get another copy?.... lol

Yeah, you're completely right Conz123 ... if my car breaks down by itself and can't be used anymore it's not the problem of the manufacturer. How dare I be so rude and complain about it? As long as I am not able to build a car myself it is insane to complain, its blasphemy!

Man, wake up already. They've released several broken games, postponed the last development phases to the stage after release and continue to use this crap of an engine.
