Crashing and freezing!

Post » Mon Feb 15, 2016 4:28 pm

Since january 6 2016:

My game is crashing while starting the loading screen.

The nuclear sign is rolling then it's the total freeze. Nothing possible.

And it's bloking the app and sometime my phone.

I've tried everything possible (close and restart - restarting device - checking updates - deleting and reinstalling the game) and nothing work.

I'm particularly angry because I'm a long time fan since the very first episode (1997 - yes I'm 40) and I've spent like 100€ in the game.

And more of all, I've pushed my vault to the maximum: every level with one kind of room on each level, max people (200), lots of animals, lots of armours T-51 D, every dwellers with minimum double shotgun & combat armour... For men, this vault was a piece of art.

And no answer from Bethesda.

I don't know what to do and who to call... :nope:

Can someone help me, please?

PS: I've start a new vault and the game seem to work properly. For the moment...

Bummer. But other than the obvious front desk Q&A, don't expect any real help from Bethesda. Just login to iTunes and request a refund. I have been there, I know your pain. I am 32 years old and really loved this app but being older does not make it justified to sell you craqppy poducts.

Bethesda offers zero support at all and the iCloud save option is pretty pointless as it doesn't make any shadow copies.

Here's the feedback I recieved from thei "help" desk:

Greetings Overseer!

Thank you for contacting Bethesda Support, Vault-Tec Division. I understand that you’ve been experiencing an issue loading your vault. I apologize that you’re experiencing this issue, but I can help clear this up for you!

Due to the nature of the mobile platform, the scope of troubleshooting that Support can provide is very limited. We do not have any ability to view or troubleshoot Fallout Shelter save files, and cannot assist with recovering a damaged or corrupted save file.

I do recommend these basic troubleshooting steps, as they may help in resolving the vault loading issue that you’re experiencing:

1. Ensure that you’ve installed the latest updates for the game on your device. You can install the latest updates via the Google Play Store/iOS App Store.

2. Reboot the device you are playing on. This will free up the available system resources on your device and resolve any issues occurring due to lack of available memory.

3. Please ensure that you haven’t altered the system clock on your device while playing Fallout Shelter. Changing the device’s clock will irreparably damage your save file. If your device forcibly shuts down due to low battery while playing Fallout Shelter, this could also potentially damage your save file.

Beyond these steps, Support does not have any further ability to troubleshoot save files.

For assistance with recovering or obtaining a refund for any lost in-app purchases from your vault, please contact the support team of the platform you're playing the game on:

iOS: http://www.apple.com/support/ios/other
Android: https://support.google.com/

Best Regards,

Bethesda Customer Support

Vault-Tec Division

Good luck pal.

P.S.

I strongly advise you not to start a new vault because it is only a matter of time until it bugs out on you again. It's best to forget this POS ever saw the lighht of day.

But sadly, low quality games like these are considered masterpieces by the casual kind amongst us and as long as they are fueling these developers, real gamers are being dragged down into the abyss, with them...

Don't set it for a week before maybe. I was having the same problem. It really svcks they refuse to help with anything.

I've cleared the cache on my app, on my memory card. Completely removed the game and when I was able to get back on finally I deleted the quests in the window (which I had to set my clock bball the day before after each time I deleted the quest. I really wish I could help

I have 2 crashed vaults. One was finally revived by reversing clock, the other one doesn't work.

It is sad that it is my best vault that cannot be revived.
