I've done reading, and it seems this 1.9 patch is the culprit.

I bought the game on steam, it wasn't cheap. From what I understand they don't even sell it anymore, but it did automatically update to 1.9

I've started 3 new games and if I die and click load it crashes (Crysis (TM) has stopped working.) same with loading or resuming. This is very frustrating.

I beat the game when it came out on extreme settings, I can't even play DX9 or DX11 or test with this crashing business. There has to be a solution. I've reinstalled three times.

What is your resolution, and computer hardware, (eg cpu, mobo, ram, graphics card) and which version of your graphics card drivers are you using.

Possibly someone will know of the issue. You could also try contacting support.

Nothing is changed from when it did work. It crashes every time and I know it's the patch or whatever changed the files that has done it. I can't seem to find any fixes online but a few people with the exact same problem as I have.

The worst part is that steam isn't selling it anymore. You sort of just uninstall, defrag, install and hope for the best. I mean, starting a new game works out fine. But if I die and load it crashes, and then every resume or load will cause a crash. In the past I had never had one crash.

Edit: I should mention that I average 35 frames on extreme, 42-46 on very high and I should mention that multi-player works fine.
