I'm having the same problem with my game. The game crashes, the vault file has 0 bytes data inside, and the game refuses to reload. The only option seems to be reinstalling the game, but this does not restore your saved games or any of the items purchased at the store (lunchboxes and Mr. Handy).
Writing to customer support is useless, all I got back both times was the exact same auto-generated reply that basically says, post the bug here, and contact Google or iTunes if you need anymore help.
I contacted Google, and they said that a game crash that results in a lost of purchased items should be refunded by the DEVELOPER and not by Google. But there doesn't seem to be away to request a refund. So at this point, I'm out $15 and five days of game play.
I'll forgive the game play, I can do that again. But the developers need to refund the money that was spent on lunchboxes and Mr. Handy packs. I'm just at a loss at where I need to go to ask for a refund.
