Crashing on map

Post » Tue Sep 29, 2015 6:36 am

Whenever I got to the map the game crashes. Skill, inventory, and spells screens work but map doesn't... Yes, I cleared cache and wiped the disk (properly too.)
Xbox 360 specs:
鈥box slim
鈥?80gb free
鈥? Skyrim legendary edition
鈥nd I did get a new disk, still not working
I would like to know wether to get the Xbox fixed, delete the entire game (last choice), or buy the game online and play through there, or if you know what to do... TELL ME!!! Thanks

*If the 360 isn't over heating.......

* If you cleared the cache, it also removes any update's that were downloaded. Which could be a problem, if so try downloading them again. Any saves that rely on deleted updates won't load correctly and can cause funny crashes or freezes.

*Turn off auto-saves ... for some reason they cause a lot of issues. ( just make sure that you manually save often). ...

* If you have a friend with a 360, see if your disc causes issues with their game ( always a chance, just make sure they have a couple hard saves)

* try un-installing and re-installing the game with your disc. make sure to revert to a save before you had issues, as those problems are already baked in or start a new game altogether. I made a habit of completely clearing out my 360 every couple of months.

It's ironic that people say turn off auto saving because there was no way I could save otherwise as in my last playthrough the game didn't manually save, only autosaved. But I got to do all the main quests and plenty of side quests without it being a problem, finishing the civil war quest at level 43. (I thought it was a good quest to finish on馃槒).

You know that is an issue right? That the game/ system won't let you manually save? The reason it can become and issue is because the 360 only lets you have xxxx amount of saves, if it auto saves frequently, then you run that number up very quickly. Plus other issues, I myself never had an issue with auto-saves, that doesn't meant that other people never have. I also never had a problem ever ( knock on wood) with Blood on the Ice...and we all know it's buggier than a summer day in a swamp.

Other games are working, with absolutely no problems at all? I would ask a friend if they would check your disk...just make sure they do a save or double save before inserting your disc. If it doesn't have the same problem... then it's something to do with your 360 if it does it's the disc. That's about the only other thing I can say to do. Some of the game stores have 360 or ps3 set up, you might try their also, call it never hurts to ask.

IF it's the disc, see what the even trade policy is at the store you bought it at, I know most won't give you money back, but if it's a defect ,they should allow you to trade...IF it's not all scratched up..with the packaging at least.
