Crashing while loading saves

I was doing some testing and I removed a mod and all of the sudden I couldn't load my saves. OB loads to the menu and after I choose LOAD and select the save the loading screen come up. Then part way through it CTDs! No matter what save I try, same result.
So I re-enabled to mod and rebuilt the patch. Still couldn't load my saves. So I went back and resynchronized all mods to the state of a previous working savegame and rebuilt patch. Still couldn't load my save.
Using the saves tab in WB, I can see that every mod is blue to indicate sync.

This can be a pain..happened to me and took me 3 days to load a save!

First suggestion....GO line by Line in the Patch selection , When rebuilding BASH Patch. Look to see if you clicked something that Should not be selected.

Second......BEFORE rebuilding your BASH patch....UNcheck the one you have....( a bash patch CAN interfere with the building of another Patch.)

Edit..ohh and what mod started this? ."I removed a Mod....

I removed Faregyl_Village and added MMM at that same time. I thought my mistake was in adding MMM. Because it has so many components, I was using "Select All" in the BPatch windows to speed things up. What a mistake!
Fortunately, As I was testing I was keeping the list of mods from within WB in a text file. I was able to resynchronized all mods to the state of 5288 - Bendu Olo - The Testing Hall, Level 40, Playing Time 384.50.26.ess. To verify, I did a direct compare between the previous working list and my current list.
Then I rebuilt the patch and tried to load 5288 - Bendu Olo - The Testing Hall, Level 40, Playing Time 384.50.26.ess. But still CTD!
Now I'm starting to wonder "Are my saves corrupted?" or "Is the BP corrupted?"

Did you rename the BSA?

NOTE: The MMM.bsa must be renamed appropriately depending on which mods that are used. See below for details.

1. Extract MMM.bsa to your Oblivion/Data directory
2. Select Mart's Monster Mod.esm [If using OOO, also select Mart's Monster Mod for OOO.esm]
3. Select ONE of the following:

Mart's Monster Mod.esp - Rename MMM.bsa to Mart's Monster Mod.bsa
*OR*
Mart's Monster Mod for Fran.esp - Rename MMM.bsa to Mart's Monster Mod for Fran.bsa
*OR*

Also did you download the 400 meg BSA ? Is a separate download....

Hmm.... Could you try and rebuild the Bashed Patch without having the Jog_X_Mod.esm enabled? I am just curious to see if this fixes your problem, as a while back I was having the same issue and found the culprit causing my particular CTD was the mod in question. Give a whirl and post your results.

Yes. This problem is related to testing in this post:
http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?showtopic=1171438&view=getnewpost and CorePC had covered that possibility.

I was just on the verge of proving that Faregyl_Village-20-21562 was somehow related to my game freezing. I had removed MMM and Faregyl and was able to enter cell [2,0] for the first time. Then I wanted to determine whether the problem was caused by MMM or Faregyl. So I added MMM and removed Faregyl. That's when the crap hit the fan. I added back Faregyl, but still couldn't load saves. Then I tried using the saves tab to synchronize the load order to the save. Now, even though it appears I have the exact same config, I still can't load saves!
Obviously, I'm still missing something... :(

Nope. Removed JogX/Thievery and rebuilt. I still can't load save! It was worth a try.

Is there a way have Oblivion.exe generate a log file? Debug mode?
I used the OBSE_loader.exe to launch Oblivion.exe, so I looked at the OBSE_loader.log file, but as soon as it calls the Oblivion.exe, the log ends.
Would the same apply to launching the Oblivion.exe from WB?

After resynchronizing all mods to the state of a previous working savegame, I figured the savegame should load. Now I'm starting to think there must be a resource file missing or corrupted (texture or mesh). So I'm trying to find a way to trace the last mod successfully loaded.

Hi,
That might be a question for the OBSE thread.....
I have heard of something called..??conscribe? i think that is to record everything that goes thru the console but I am not sure.

How many Saves do you have? None of them Load?

I save "Hard saves" about every hour...I have Hundreds of saves.about once a month I weed out Saves...Say I have 15-20 saves during level 18...I delete all but a few later. A few saves I have, I sometimes fire them up (and never save) just to replay Say the Main Quest ending!

Problem solved! One of my hard drives did not initialize on previous boot. The Oblivion Meshes and Sounds are stored on that drive to improve performance. But the were not accessible!
