So I found this book about monsters from mythology. And the Draugr looked the exact same as a Draugr from skyrim from the axe to the armor. And from what I've heard, the Draugr were more disgusting and bloated in Norse mythology. Now my brain hurts

Yeah, Draugr are from RL mythology. The Morrowind/Bloodmoon ones are a lot closer to the "real" ones in some ways. Would've made for an interesting boss fight with one of the "growers." (I think there was distinction between land and sea Draugr, too? It's been years since I read about this, tbh, so the details are a bit shaky.)
