Leave your craziest legendary here. Mine is the Freezing Shishkebab which I found on easy with on a Super mutant.

Weirdest one would be a Freezing Flamer. A flame-thrower that freezes enemies.

Most overpowered would be an Explosive Combat Shotgun. Huge clip size, can get a silencer, does massive damage by itself and it has common/cheap ammo.

Most disappointing one would be a Poisonous Gauss-Rifle. Those few extra points of damage sure scale nicely compared to the huge base damage after sneak/crit bonuses are taken into account.

Ghoul Slaying Gamma Gun

(or was that Mutant Slaying....?)

In any case, I dropped in my legendary collection box and forgot about it.

I use it to heal ghouls when they pick a fight with a Deathclaw for my entertainment.
Now I know how the people watching me at the Pit felt

Yeah legendary system was half-thought out. Good idea in principle. But dear god it unbalances the game.

I honestly want to know what went on in the meeting where it was decided on. Because right now the difficulty consists of upping the % of damage critters do to you, and lowering the % of damage you do to them. So, at some point someone said, you know those perks that if picked will totally negate the hardest setting this game offers? Its not enough, lets throw some more weapons that can one shot a behemoth on survival.

edit: So anyhow my contribution, penetrating missile launcher. It just sounds obscene, and wrecked anything targeted with it.

I got a Poisoning Fatman a while back. Because apparently ten seconds of poisoning damage really adds a lot to being hit in the face with a nuclear bomb.

2 shot gauss rifle is pretty terrible, it adds the base unmodded damage of a shot, then takes the damage and balances it between the 2 shots, meaning even if you land both shots you don't get a good damage boost, and if you miss one of the shots the damage is crippled.

2 shot is only good on weapons without good damage increasing mods, like the minigun, or missile launcher, and only great on weapons with damage reducing mods, like the fat man.

Explosive minigun, the explosion adds 200-400% increased damage depending on your perks, up to 76 damage per shot, with 60 of that being aoe.

I didn't mind it too much when I first saw them.. Things like faster filling criticals or more bleeding damage or slight speed improvments (clothing) are fine. Although better suited to just be mods in crafting IMO.
Then I saw "plasma infused hunting rifle" "nocturnal shotgun" (does more damage at night less damage at day "two shot .44" and the infinite ammo ones and the "chameleon" one and so on.
Needless to say I hate them with a passion now and just ignore them.
They have no place in Fallout. Leave this style of gameplay mechanics to Borderlands Bethesda. It's... Jarring.

The Wazer Wifle.

I also just got an exploding round 10mm. Haven't tried it yet. But it sure sounds cool.

Its 30 extra damage so its not so bad, yes it would be better on an normal sniper rifle who is not so strong.

I have both an bleeding and explosive minigun, prefer the explosive even if the bleeding does more damage as bleeding is DoT and I primarly use is close to medium range against bosses or groups.

My favorites are armor pieces making lockpicking easier. The urge to put them on immediately is ... irresistable.

My strongest legendaries were an instigating fatman in my first play, now in my second play where I use a mod not only reducing loot generally but also legendaries by about 70-80% I got a two-shot laser musket and a crippling assault gun. The musket is crazy, with six cranks it should deal 744 damage without a point in Nuclear Physicist. Usually rests in the workbench, as I don't like energy weapons. I used Overseer's Guardian a lot, but currently changed to a normal .50 hunting rifle with a FO4edit-mod to make it a real .50 BMG. My handcrafted legendary so to say.

Shaun made this for me out of a camera or something.

I started getting much more regular legendary drops since I started playing on "very hard" difficulty. But for me, this level is a bit difficult. Super mutants take forever to kill.

The two shot thing, according to the wiki, is not entirely correct.

I see no issues with what I said.

On a maxed out 2 shot gauss rifle the damage from the 2 shot effect is weak, and missing one shot does far less damage than if you hit without the 2 shot mod.

You can't miss the second shot, if you hit. You fire one bullet, that counts as two. Altho, it counts the combined damage of both when calculating armour penetration.

Bought the Justice shotgun from Covenant. On the same night the first legendary I killed with it dropped a combat shotgun with chance to stagger.

A two or second shot, forgot the name, hunter rifle. With max upgrades in Gun Nuts, love to interchange the .308 and .50 caliber wehn ammo runs outs. Plus, max Rifleman, MacCready's overbugged perk, and perks in Ninja and important ones in luck, easy peasy as one NPC said in an FO3 DLC game.
