Crazy theory about companions

You sure pretend to live in a fairy tale.

But you will know that the Lord is God when you die.

"Here... take this as payment"

"I asked for SILVER, these are... bottle caps?"

"You will understand in about 2300 years or so"

Multi-pass.

And the mother/father in law at the other end of the table. Maybe you picked the "wrong" perk and have a hideous mutation?

Hmmm...now Shrek 2 comes to mind...

"Better out than in"

Personally, I don't follow any religion, but I still recognise the fact that around 97% of the human population do. And so I think it's important at the very least to consider the historical significance of any religious symbolism. And this applies to video games as much as it does to any other medium.

I hope that they looked at some of the other games out there and realised that they just can't keep shoveling out Half brain dead meat shield/pack mule/ occasionally interesting brain dead zombi tagalongs that seem to get in the way more than they help in a fight that they have previously saddled us with....

But that I mean

Hey cogsworth? You have a power saw on you and I'm not doing lockpiking with this character any time soon....oh Hey Pal! I'm going all ranged, could you deal with the ones that like to go nose to nose? .....Oh Preston Garvey? I kind of have a charisma of 1, would you mind making a settlement here so we can have a base to work out of?........oh Pipper, I hand no hacking skills, so see this terminal thing? Can you kind of hack in and read there emails? And so on...

In other words, companions can now fill in on what your kind of week at.

Hmm I just realised, som pets may think there name is pal buddy or kitty and not the name we give them.

I doubt Bethesda would let companions do things like hack computers or open safes for you, let alone anything with settlement building.

Would defeat the purpose of you having to take perks to unlock things.

I don't know, there could be a couple thief or hacker companions. I doubt all of them would be able to do it though.

Skyrim let companions pop open chests and what not. I don't feel it's a bad thing to let companions have some unique perks when following the player around. Like, this can extend beyond just lockpicking/hacking and into things such speech checks. That Piper chick is somewhat of a smooth talker, being a reporter and all, so perhaps after a failed speech check she could chime in and get the guy to change his mind.

I feel that having companions able to do these things for us would severely limit the strength of the skills themselves. Why invest in lockpick over guns when the latter are more fun to use, and the usefulness of the former is completely negated by other characters anyway?

I'm not even certain it was actually intended to be possible in Skyrim for companions to be able unlock things for us, but regardless, lockpick was less essential in that game than Fallout anyway simply because even a novice could pick a master lock. In Fallout, you are more limited by character skill.

And all the others that've been released, but I get your point. They could change that with 4.

If only I could draw... But I'll simply do this...

Sole Survivor: Truly, one of you will betray me to the Institute.

Garvey: Not me, surely! With you gone, our numbers will dwindle from 12...to 8...then to 5...

Dogmeat: Bawrr?

Piper: What are you talking about?

Sole Survivor: Truly, the traitor is the one who is holding the Nuka-Cola with me.

Codsworth: AS I LIVE AND BREATHE!!!!

Now I could be horribly wrong, history and art history isn't my strongest suit, but I'm fairly certain the guy in the center is supposed to be Jesus Christ. Y'know, the dude central to the Christian belief system?
