Last night I went by the Atom Cats (and sniffed at the Atom Cats paintjob as usual. Expensive!)
But I had a lot of caps, a lot of heavy loot, and Graqe Mentats.
So I ended up grabbing it and taking caps off Rowdy too, heheh...
Perfect.
Anyway, the sky to the east was lit up like the Fourth of July with the most spectacular commotion!
Two BoS Vertibirds and a whole bunch of Brotherhood were taking on some high-level Super Mutants in a little warehouse beside the highway there.
The lightshow was fantasic, and we all went up on the roof to absorb it.
At some point the guys in Quincy (Gunners) must have become involved, because the battles intensified!
Looked like a Pink Floyd concert with all the red laser beams...
After a long time things subsided, and I could see (through my long scope) BoS Knights moving around with EVERY PIECE of their power armor roasted off.
So I get down there, and I collect a lot of stuff of course - could barely carry.
But the Atom Cats are just a short walk. So I heavily over-loaded.
Then I notice out of the corner of my eye, some twinkling red ash-piles! Four of them in fact, on closer inspection, away in the grass or near a little culvert that runs under the road there.
OMG each one was a BoS Knight-Sergeant in full T-60b!
Anyway I ended up coming back with multiple complete sets of T-60 power armor (like ~1600 pounds total load) LoL.
Pure joy.
Just to be nice, I walked up to the one Brother walking around in his bare frame, because I could have easily fixed him up with the pieces his rig required.
"If you're not Brotherhood you're nothing" he sneered at me...
Yeah? Fook you, Jack.
Now I'm actually looking forward to destroying them all, in this playthrough!
So have any of you guys ever witnessed this type of battle so huge, so spectacular that you needed to pull up some lawn chairs, and wished for popcorn?
I've sure never witnessed anything like that (in 500+ hours)!
