Create An Item!

Post » Thu Sep 29, 2011 12:34 pm

If you could create ONE item that could be added to Skyrim via future DLC, what would it be? Maybe if the topic gets popular enough the Developers will take notice and like someone's idea for a rare item in a future DLC.

Bow of the Hist

  • Sneak attack does 15x damage
  • 30% Critical chance
  • Poison damage 60pts

Lore: Carved from the branch of the oldest Hist tree in Black Marsh. The Hist gave from itself to show appreciation for the Argonian hero who drove the invading Daedra forces out of Black Marsh.

You don't need DLC, just a smithing and enchantment skill. I have many plans. I plan on making a dragonbone shield called scale:

100% element resistance, as long as blocking counters fire and frost breating dragons.

My guys going to be equipped to be a dragon hunter, with all the accoutrements.

A whole new Armour set i saw that would be cool, and possibly Armour that you could only craft, and rarely find.
First i will list an Easter egg Armour i would love to see tucked away somewhere, only as an lol item that still works pretty good.

Easter Egg Armour

Power Armour: Goes under Heavy Armour and resembles the Power Armour from Fallout, but has a Skyrim feel to it.

New Craft able Armour:

http://www.elfwood.com/~yang/Heraldic-Armour.3349698.html

Heraldic Armour was crafted by the Elven nations as a signature of being a "Chosen". A Chosen is one who the gods deem divine, and they use the person to do a deed.

No thanks, I'd rather buy Fallout 3 or Shivering Isles type expansion, rather than single items. I'd pay 10 bucks for something that lets me play a few hours more, rather than 2 dollar for a novelty item that I'll probably throw in my loot chest after 10 minutes.

A dragon shout that collides the nuclei of Hyodrogen atoms inside your mouth and propels the resulting energy forwarding, allowing you to effectively breathe nuclear fire.

That's how real men stop a civil war.
*Fighting*
"Guys, guys. Isn't there a better way to sort this out?"
"No."
*bathes in nuclear fire*
"What was that? I couldn't hear you over the sound of me breathing nuclear energy onto your buddy over there.

I plan on making Aegis of the Dragonborn... A suit of fire resistant armor, with Drakeshield, a frost resistant shield. Finally I'll make a sword called Dragonbane, a sword that deals shock damage with every strike.

All will be made of dragonbone.

Your not reading it correctly, he said IN FUTURE DLC. He means to be shown in DLC, which will be bigger then fallout 3, smaller then shivering isles and more common. They also suggested on the idea of adding in things like flying dragons, now that is unlikely, but new mounts are not. Seeing as the game worlds in TES are bigger then Fallouts maps these DLC's will be a good size, maybe whole islands, or Secret worlds.

And so, the Dovahkiin died a true heroes death. On his death bed, his close and loved ones around him. His last words were "God dammit, I shouldn't have absorbed that dragon soul."

The Wabbamulet. A favorite prank gift of Sheogorath's. This amulet will polymorph the wearer into a random form when worn, although sheep and chicken forms seem to be the most common.

Fishy Stick, a staff that resembles an oar with ornate carvings on the handle.

Fishy-Blast!- A splash of water shoots out, sending a fish flying at your target, staggering them if it hits. The fish then flops on the ground helplessly.

I'm sure most of the items mentioned aboved can be modded. Really valuable items are scripted with unique effects hard to be replicated, such as:

Staff of Magus - Any time you cast a spell while holding Staff of Magus, it is imprinted with the same spell. You can cast imprinted spell from Staff of Magus (at the cost of weapon charges)

Boots of Escape - Boots of Escape increases your speed by 20% if your health falls below 80%. Boots of Escape increases your speed by 80% and grants you 100% Immunity to Paralysis if your health falls below 20%.

Two-handed Claymore of the Berserker - THCOTB's damage is increased by one for each point of AR you do NOT have from the limit of 85.

Bloodseeker Bow - Any creature struck by Bloodseeker Bow is marked once for 100 seconds. If there are 5 marks on a target, all marks are consumed for an explosive attack with damage equal to all 5 pervious attacks combined.

Poison vial of the underworld - Allows you to poison your weapon with a magical poison (at the cost of item charge). Any enemy killed while under the effects of PVOTU is immediately revived as a Frenzy Dread Zombie for 30 seconds (may attack you). Dread Zombies have 5% chance infect PVOTU on hit and explodes on death with 10% chance to infect PVOTU within 10 ft.

Instead of asking for a DLC that adds items, you should ask a modder to make the item and let the devs concentrate on full blown expansions.

Adding a quest to get a rare and powerful item in a future DLC doesn't seem too farfetched and it would be cool to know that the developers put YOUR idea into their game.

P.O.H. (Pronounced Poe.) Plague of Humanity: A Pitch Black Katana with demon serpents on both sides. Rumor has it that once the sword finds it's true master, the demons engraved on the side come out and bestow the sword's power onto it's master.

Strange elemental magic 100 damage on strike. (When you reach level 40.)

(Can not be equiped until level 30)

Gauntlets of the Iron Fist king: Red Gauntlets that we're worn by the king of a great fighter of strange fighting style.
Hand to hand 80

shock 40 points on strike.

Blade of Umbrage: A mad group of mages, cultists, and necromancers were commissioned by a bloodthirsty warlord to infuse a weapon with the powers of the legendary Umbra. They failed to create a duplicate of Umbra....but created something more heinous. The blade itself lacked the power to trap souls, but instead gained the power to sap and harm the lifeforce of others.

This is a large, two handed sword. The pommel bears a skull, and the entire weapon..handle included is carved from the bones of every player race, welded together by dark magic. Having this weapon in your inventory or equipped drastically lowers disposition and speech skills, and prevents natural regeneration.

Damage: Lower than even a dagger.....at first. With each and every kill made with the blade, it grows infinitely stronger until the next night, where it begins to hunger once again.

Hunger: This weapon is cursed! It requires a quest to remove it from your hands. For every hour it remains hungry, it drains the player's attributes, driving them on to kill more and more. The weapon loses all effectiveness against undead or inanimate creatures aside from the base damage increase.

Essence Drink: every strike with the weapon deals 0.25 points of additional life, stamina, and magicka stealing damage (rounded up) for every kill accumulated for the day. Killing 25 enemies for example causes the blade with every strike to deal an additional 3 damage, damages the enemy's magicka and stamina by 3, and heals the wielder's magicka stamina, and health by 3. The gain is doubled if you kill intelligent/sapient creatures, and tripled if you kill innocents.

Soul paralysis: If the target has greater than 70% health, the blade has a strong chance to stun the target with every blow.

I suppose that's more in line with what I want. I guess I can contribute something to this topic then.

You'll probably be able to create a reasonably powerful weapon or piece of armor with enchanting, so I'd rather have something that was useful outside of combat. Something like a ring with a mild regenerative property for healing after the fighting is done. I do hope they restrain the items a bit more this time around. In Oblivion I was walking around with 100% reflect damage, 100% resist magic and a more or less constant 85 Armor rating. Armed with a Weakness to Magic 100% weapon and a spell aptly named "Murder", not to mention my alchemical concoction with three different damage effects.

I do like the idea of a stealth focused bow, but x15 on a bow is simply ridiculous. The reason why sneak attacks with bows was x3 in Oblivion was that it effectively deals damage with two sources (the bow and the arrow), and since it remains in Skyrim, I can only assume that's the case in Skyrim as well.
