just modifies them in automatron?


because if we can create, this dlc will be the most stupid ever in the story


because if there's enough technology to create new robots in commonwealth, they could use it to try to restore society...


and i'm surprised the brotherhood isn't involved since robots is the definition of advanced technology... and creating new robots would be insulting

Apparently we can modify the narrator assaultron in the trailer and companion robots too ( curie and codsworth ) and I guess we can create robots from scrap as well.

then you can make additional drones, which are about as complex as settlers,

you can currently create robots with console command. however, these are limited to NPC or hostiles.



in AUTO, you'll be able to customize you robot companion.

They probably dont want the game to turn into a sandbox style of rpg. Or Rage, Mad max and such. Forget fast travel or traveling on foot with a motorcycle in the game, everbody would be just driving these.



THo I admit a spike and trophy rack riddled bike with machine guns mounted would provide that extra bit of dakka nicely D:

I'm looking forward to all dlcs from Bethesda. One problem with auto, there will be same issues with bots as the same with human companions. You have less control of what they are doing. Sentry bots are kind of slow, but other thing is these Assaultrons. They are very fast and I'm concern of having them downtown meeting all these high ranked gunners and S M. They will be easy target since AI don't tell any companions to back off when heat too much. Companions/bots should have about 3x more health or armor for that matter so they have at least a chance. When Curie firstfight a radscorp something is wrong.... Companions do know how to hide/take cover, that is a good thing, but not always they do that. Anyway, there should be options to all companions, bots or not, "aggresive", "defence" and "follow, but do nothing". They need to protect themselves even they "wait" or "hold position". We have that in Skyrim, but not in FO 4.

I imagine it will work the same as Power Armor. There will be slots or whatever for a head, two arms and legs, and a torso, and we'll be able to take parts from all the different robots (and teddy bears, if I saw that correctly in the trailer) and put them together however we see fit. Then we'll be able to mod those various parts for capability and personality. Should be pretty slick, all in all.
