No, it cannot be canon. Generally threads requiring thought processes fail, but I can try.

Scavers

Weapons of Choice: Assault Carbine, Sniper Rifle, 12.7mm Pistol, Missile Launcher, Displacer Glove
Armors of Choice: T-45d (painted gunmetal grey, with orange stripes) + orange cape
Flag and Colors: Black and orange, emblem is a soaring vulture

An organized tribe of very wealthy prospectors and wastelanders, with a thing for technology. They fear of nothing in the wasteland, because they are prepared for it. They scavenge for old technology in groups, sharing whatever loot they come across, and usually in places any right-minded human wouldn't step. They stand for good reason, and work for the good of the people. Although unlike most groups of 'goody-two-shoes' variety, they have the means to stop raiders. They respect the Followers, although there solutions to the worlds problems are a little more... permanent. Mr House and Caesar loath them with good reason, and the Brotherhood keeps an eye on them at times (for power armor related reasons).

I honestly don't think I could create a faction I'd like better than the BoS. :P

If I had to choose, most likely a heavily armed, insular society; they make the most sense in the context of the Fallout setting and are always interesting to explore.

The Enclave is a shadowy, militaristic organization, directly descended from the pre-War United States government and military industrial complex, that claims authority over the ravaged country. It is composed mostly of the descendants of government officials and military officers with ties to powerful corporations who retreated to a Poseidon Energy oil rig when the Great War started. They generally consider most people born outside the Enclave to be mutants fit only for eradication.

In my own personal "fanon" there is still an active unghoulified group of people descended from the chinese infiltrators that invaded USA, who are still accomplishing their mission of disturbing military and civilian effortd in what used to be the USA. It'll take more than a nuclear armageddon to stop the Crimson Dragoons :toughninja:

Followers of The Dope is the most powerful faction/tribe in Mojave. They follow ME. I'm awesome.
We killed Mr. House and took over New Vegas. We slaughtered the Omertas and the White Glove Society, and let two other tribes move in. We builded more casinos, and expanded New Vegas.
We kicked NCR out of New Vegas, too. The skilled engineers from Followers of The Dope got the machine in the Lucky 38 working again after killing Mr. House, and now I'm in there. I have control over New Vegas, and forever will.

Bio: Salvation are a faction who joined together after the war, assuming the consumption of human flesh would become necessary post-war. They formed together hoping to claim control of America and monitor and control the new cannibalistic culture. However people still did not turn to cannibalism, and Salvation were seen as nothing but insane raiders. They were beaten down and the remnants formed into a small group known today. Salvation breed their own slaves and feed on them. They also kidnap some feed stock, however these Kidnapped are seen as dirty compared to the pure slaves. Salvation live in isolation, abandoning their plans to take control of post-war America, yet unable to revert back to not eating humans.

Talon Company is an equal opportunity employer. Talon Company is a mercenary group who has almost no restrictions on contracts, making it one of the most effective, and therefore wealthiest and best equipped, mercenary group known to exist in the wasteland, it's Regional HQ's are usually pre-war military installations, and the technical department of Talon Company is known for achieving great technological discoveries, such as the activation of Highwater Trousers. The basic Talon Mercenary is equipped with a suit of Talon Company Combat Armor, a 5.56mm R91 Urban Assault Rifle, and a Combat Knife or Police Baton, mercenaries are allowed to use their pay to purchase other weapons from any Talon Company Armory, weapons available range from the 5.56mm Type-87 Chinese Assault Rifle to the AER9 Laser Rifle to the feared Missile Launcher.

Mercenaries that prove their mettle in battle stand a chance to be promoted to Squad Leader rank and given Reinforced Talon Company Combat Armor Mk. 1 and will be in charge of a squad of 5 basic Talon Mercenaries. Another great charactaristic of the Talon Company is its orginazation, 5 Mercs and a Squad Leader make up a squad, 5 squads are led by a Talon Company Veteran Mercenary, whom wear Reinforced Talon Company Combat Armor Mk. 2 with a stylish duster, and all Veteran Mercenaries report to their respective Regional Commander. An added benefit of being a part of the Talon Company is that the Company will pay off any bounty (up to 10000 caps) for a mercenary that proves that they are loyal and can pass the recruitment tests. The training process is specially administered to weed out the weak and instill loyalty in the strong, bringing out the best in your character, defeating the worst of it. Many rumors float about, saying that the Company is "evil" or "full of maniacs", this is simply not the case, the Talon Company just doesn't pass moral judgment on those who would wish to emply Talon Mercenaries, and who needs to bog down good business with morals in the wasteland? Dispite the rumors, Talon Company does in no way practice discrimination, mercenary applicants are accepted from all walks of life if they can prove themselves.

Thanks to the BoS-Enclave War, Talon Company has come into possession of a large amount of Enclave equipment and have captured some researchers, you can bet we shot those fascists! But other than the killing of those that wanted to kill all of your friends and family, the experience has also created a new rank in the Talon Company, an alternative to becoming a Squad Leader, the Talon Company Shocktrooper wears specially customized Talon Company Advanced Power Armor Mk. 2 and comes equipped with a Minigun, Gatling Laser, or Heavy Incinerator!

The Talon Company has from then gained strength, called for an end to hostilities with the BoS, and is focusing on fighting the Super Mutants, once again fighting those who would kill your friends, pets, neighbors, and all of your family.

They established a cult leader and a small army. Years later, they recruited more soldiers. Then, they became the Cult of the Golden. One. Now, their objective is to recruit more members and suvive in the Mojave, while also remaining hidden, anybody who finds them are asked to collect pre-war items or be excecuted. They send out Scavengers to collect pre-war items. They are (kind of) similar to the Brotherhood of Steel.

pre war scientist who where being escorted by american soldiers to marisopa military base for fev research and weapon updgrades(thats why they have lots of the guns above) but where just outside california when the great war started and found a private bunker created for a vips and had enough room for them(there was about 100 scientists to do reseacrh on fev and know a bit about weapon moddifications 90 scientist who know how to handle guns and are skilled at modding weapons

all recruted from outside are instaled with a chip that will set off if an ally is shot at and kill them
all vantage points are mined with plasma and pulse mines
the bunker is inside a tiny mountain and snipers are on watch 24/7 and all recruted from outside must wait intil releaved or will be executed decendants are more trusted and charged and will spend a certain amount of time in jail or death if they do this more than 3 times
have created new t-51 armour though isnt as strong as the originals from a lack of materials

Armors of Choice: 2 elites get Chinese stealth armor(makes invisible) assasins suits for vets reinforced light weight combat armor(same desighn as ncr ranger armour(not vet) )for new recruits

the secret part of the skifs skilled with melée and guns they are decendents or outsiders that have proven them selves worthy to be trusted to recover data or assasinate someone if needed the training to become one is to alert the guards of the base of the skifs and must manage to retrive the blank holodisk and leave the base and will be given silenced pistols with tranqulizers and the skifs cannot harm them they can only arest them till the game is complete and must be completed within 24 hours if captured they will be interogated and will be shocked until they give up to test how loyal they are to them if captured they can also try to escape and continue the mission.

Mhigh risk missions will usualy have a silenced mingun(created by the skifs) stashed somwhere near the infiltration point
and assasination( not likely) a sniper will be stored in a house if it's the vantage point or near it to not attract attention in populated areas weapons must be small and conciable. Missions in lower populated areas they will revive sillenced assult rifles and silenced shotguns with decresed spread and increased mag if spoted they are to if posible retrive the data or whatever it is or assasinate them if not they are to leave asap.
If detected and extraction isn't posible each soldier is issued 15 mags wichita each have 30 bullets a mag for assult rifle 10 for pistols or smg 1000 bullets if there has been a minigun stashed in the area and 10 mags for there shotgun each round has 25 shots and can penetate combat armour and even power armor if using ap rounds
for capturing a target soldiers will be issued rubber bullets to sundue the target and shock them if needed. all soldiers are issued a combat knife before each mission
each team consists of 1-6 soldiers.

70 mr handys they gave gauss rifles and made them attack anyone who does not know there password(where there when arrived for help with house work)
50 protections to fire gatling lassers and fire tesla cannon from its head(where there when arrived for security purposes)
30 sentry bots with missles launchers and miniguns or gatling lassers(gauss minigun instaled in 2242 when created by them)
overal 465 people 150 robots
450 weapon modders 650 protectors/security/scouts etc by 2281)
everyone avoids starting combat with them for obvious reasons.
all decendants are either to join the scientist or help protect them
all recruted from outside are instaled with a chip that will set off if an ally is shot at and kill them
all vantage points are mined with plasma and pulse mines
the bunker is inside a tiny mountain and snipers are on watch 24/7 and all recruted from outside must wait intil releaved or will be executed decendants are more trusted and charged and will spend a certain amount of time in jail or death if they do this more than 3 times
have created new t-51 armour though isnt as strong as the originals from a lack of materials

WASTELAND SECURITY ARMY (also know as WSA)

A group of mercenaries (around 100 men) all with combat experience.
There a tight group and you first have to prove your self in combat before you join.
They work for whoever pays them the most but they don't attack civilians, there jobs are purely military.
There soldiers wear reinforced security armor (you know, the one from dead money) for good maneuverability and good protection.
And every member of a squad (6 men in a squad one of them is a marksman and one them is a grenadier) is given a automatic rifle and the marksman is given a sniper rifle(instead of a AR) and the grenadier a grenade launcher(DUH) .
All of them have gotten CQC training and room clearing tactics.
But there still better at defending position (trenches) than an all out charge because of there numbers.

The Road Ragers
Equipment- Leather jacket outfit with logo (logo consists of a motorcycle flying down a road with flames flying from the muffler, igniting the road behind it)
shotguns/rifles/pistols/molotovs

Karma: Neutral/good

Purpose: The Road Ragers own and operate a factory that builds motorcycles that run off of a special liquid made from various plants in the wasteland. They don't attack unless provoked, and mainly target Legion camps. They are mostly a nomadic tribe, but rumors have it they have a base for north in Utah where they build and repair the bikes and weapons. Due to their seclusion, they are wary of wastelanders, but won't attack them for getting to close to their home. Many people have tried to track the Ragers to learn their secrets of transportation, but none have ever been captured for questioning.
