Creating a Fan-fiction

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 8:36 pm

Well, I've had this idea I've been throwing around in my head for the past week or so. I'd like to write up a fan-fiction around Tamriel's black market, or the drug trade if you prefer. I don't have much experience with creating these types of things but I have a general plot laid out in my head. I've already come up with a little something for it, I'm just a little hesitant about putting it out here so soon as it's pretty much a rough draft and I don't know how it'd be received because I am by no means a professional writer.

I'd just like some general tips that you guys or gals use to help the creative process along and on story building, maybe character development.

Any helpful advice is appreciated guys, I'm doing this purely for my own and hopefully your entertainment. Thank you.

Firstly, start with a base idea. Then plot out who the main character(s) will be. Then the major events.

If you get stuck a good way to go is to type what comes tto mind rather than trrying to think about it.

If it helps, use Word or what ever word processor you have on your pc. Write down what comes to mind, stop, reread it, fix it, revise it then read it again and go from there.
