Creating a New Play Through Soon

Hello everyone,

Skyrim is one of my all time favorite games and I have many fond memories with my current character (Imperial, stealth, thieves guild, dark brother hood, daedric quests). I'm getting ready to create another character for a completely different experience. This character will focus on heavy armor and switching between two handed weapons and 1h/spell.

However, I want to experience Skyrim in a completely different way. I'd like to transform it into a more vibrant, fantasy setting. Perhaps different character models as well. Basically I want to start this game with a new character and feel like I'm playing a completely different version (hopefully an improvement) of Skyrim.

I haven't modded this game as of yet, in fact I haven't played a modded TES title since Oblivion many years ago. I'm sure there is a thread out there that I haven't found that addresses this question. Could anyone recommend a good list of mods that will transform Skyrim into a bright, vibrant fantasy-oriented setting along with any additional improvements?

My specs include:

Windows 8 Pro, Intel Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz (4CPUS), 8GB RAM, DirectX 11, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti with 4GB max 1920 x 1080 resolution.

I appreciate your help!

I shouldn't really be giving you advice as I'm a console user, but 'Live Another Life' is a fantastic mod that will transform he beginning of your game, mean that you won't get discouraged halfway through Helgen. :)

^ I completely agree with Hagrid. I've never played a modded version of Skyrim (simply because my crappy laptop can't handle it) but I have heard lots and lots of people talk about that mod. Having watched YouTube videos of it, I highly recommend it.
