Actually I'm from Hong Kong (I just live in Beijing, China) and I believe that my english is better than my chinese. But still...I don't sense any sarcasm there.

Don't know, but I think there's a lot of languages with plenty of sarcasm? Or am I a bit biased because my language has sarcasm but is also related to English?
Sarcasm works different in most languages, though. Generally, you'll find it easiest to recognise sarcasm in your mother tounge.
