Creation Kid Tutorial Two question

Post » Fri Jul 18, 2014 9:57 pm

Hello all. This question probably comes up a lot but I do not know what to search for. In the CK tutorials there is a section that says

"Also note that you're only moving the object on the horizontal plane, or the "X/Y axis" of the world. You can move the object up/down by holding "Z" while dragging it. Likewise, you can hold "X" to constrain movement to X axis, or "C" to constrain movement to the Y axis. It's "C" (and not Y) because "Z" "X" and "C" are right next to each other. Convenient!"

I cannot get the Z, X, and C keys to work. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any help is appreciated.

You're sure you're following these steps?

  • Hold down key (for example, z)
  • While holding the key, click and hold on object
  • Drag mouse

I've never heard of those keys not working before, so I figure I would ask.

Curate thanks for your reply. I'm not exactly sure what I did wrong, but somehow I locked myself out of using those keys. When I restarted the CK, the ability to use them was restored.
