Hey guys, when I load up the creation kit the cell view tab is checked off in the view option in the bar above the toolbar. The window for that isn't shown. Its just a piece of a tab that says Cell view on it without it having a window underneath. I don't know if it's something that I did or if the a problem with the creation kit but I reinstalled the creation kit and the same thing happens. Does anybody know if I can fix?

I am only one day into the creation kit so I don't know any more then you but did you under the file tab select data then double click skyrim esm. The box should should now have an "x" in it, then click on "ok" It may take a while to load so wait for it. You will also get a warning box just click "yes to all" and let it finish loading the cell view box should be full now. I suggest you go to Wiki and read the tutorials. I dont know how to add links here so just do a search for the "creation kit" and you should be able to find it from there. Be careful you could really mess up your game if you do something wrong.

I just checked this, it is also posible to drag the box closed to the bar so that only the bar shows this may also be the issue.

I tried to upload a screenshot of what is going on but for some reason it won't let me. Basically the Cell View window does not appear when it is checked off as being there. A little tab comes up that says it but if I click on the tab it open the cell view window somewhere off my computer screen that I can't see.

Ok again I am still new with the creation kit as I have said before. I have noticed that where you set your kit windows the last time you used it they will be in the same place you left them so if you changed the desktop resolution since the last time you used it thay may be off screen. Have you used the kit before without this problem? What OS are you using? If it is, as you say, showing up off screen I have seen this before with other programs. Try changing your desktop resolution it is a long shot but at least you will be able to rule it out. Try both ways higher and lower.

There is a file in your Skyrim director called SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini that has settings in it for placing the various windows. They are about 60 lines down in the file under the General tab. Mine look like this:

Cell View X=-1385
Cell View Y=132
Cell View W=1300
Cell View H=1557

I have two monitors and keep the Cell View on the left monitor but you should be able to place yours where you can see it and then move it to where you want it. The settings are updated when you exit the CK.

Inquisitor, you were right. My screen resolution was off so the window was in a spot I couldn't see on my computer but could see on my tv. It's fixed now. Thank you very much.
