Creation Kit- LODs Issues

Post » Mon Aug 03, 2015 7:47 pm

Hi there people, i am new to Creation Kit and i am trying to make my own World Space as many of us. I am pretty sure that many of us had the same problem and they posted here for some solution. I have some problems with my LOD geeration. When i generate the objects some of their LOD apear in differet location than the original object, like a bit tilted forward on on the side. When i generate Landscape LOD my land has a total different colour, in some spots it has "black squares" istead of the texture and in some other spots it's not smooth but rectangular with many edges and corners. Why is this happening. I've searche the whole google & youtube for Guides and Videos. I followed theese guides step by step and i still have problems. I already deleted and recreated my wrld space 3 times and still the same issues. i've spent about 2,5 months doing that and trying to find a solutio but nothing. I am really tired with this "creation kit". Please someone help me and explain me how do i use the programe properly. I really want to solve my issues but if i don't fint a solution i will quit. So please some help me!!!

Don't use CK for LODs.

OScape for terrain LOD first, then TES5LODGen for object and tree LOD.

You say that both utilities generate bad LOD for your worldspace? Definitely doing something wrong. Try to open generated BTR and BTO files with NifScope and check how do they look like.

I believe that i am doing something wrong. I am quite new with the CK. I started 2 months ago and i still dont know every use of it and every capabillity. I dont know what is BTR and BTO. :P that's why i posted here. Oh sometimes i manage to get a good landscape lod but i loose the object lod. And when i generate the object lod i loose the landscape lod. Can someone post a method here, step by step, with every detail what exactly do i need to do in order to generate nice lods?

This means you generate LOD with CK and your worldspace doesn't start at a quad border cell like (0,0), (-32,-32) etc.

Don't use CK for any LOD type generation and you won't have such issues.
