This little steam window comes up saying loading or something, then it closes and reopens. Why it runs through steam anyways is beyond me -.-

Are you able to launch Skyrim? Are there any updates downloading?

Skyrim updates and CK updates seem to be connected.

If you will be away from the Internet for a while, you need to make sure everything is up to date (Skyrim and CK can launch properly), then go to Steam->Restart in Offline Mode it will take a minute to restart and sync and then you can run both the CK and Skyrim without Internet connection after that.

I had to ctrl alt delete and kill steam.exe, then I tried it again and it worked

My CK won't start after the latest Steam update either. Killing the Steam.exe and trying to launch the CK doesn't work for me. There'll be the briefest dialog box with "Preparing to launch Creation Kit" and then nothing.

Edit: Update

Ran the "check integrity of tool files" and 15 were corrupt. Launched okay after files were updated.
