I recently noticed that in the sewers where there will be multiple audio channels going in Fallout 3 the animation frames will freeze for a second and stutter. So I tried everything from reinstalling my system and video drivers and reinstalling directx without any fix to the problem. I tried reinstalling the game and it still persisted like at times I would get 100+fps and then suddenly it would freeze up for a whole noticeable second during action fight scenes. The only thing that fixed it was turning on Creative Alchemy though at a cost of random bursts of white noise or static being thrown in there. I tried installing k-lite codec pack as some people recommended and it didn't help. I tried disabling SLI and it didn't help. I tried turning down the AA settings and still it didn't do anything. I have a feeling its the creative drivers for my X-FI Fatality Pro card. Thinking of getting a different card to see if that helps. Anyone have any other system level solution ideas?
Thanks.
