So, it's prom season. As in the dance at the end of a high school year, in America, at least. Long dresses, tuxes, the whole shebang. As a senior in high school, I think I'll be going, but I have not yet asked the apple of my eye, and I'm looking for a creative way to do it...
Last year I asked a girl with a limerick attached to a fruit basket, which was fun, if not a bit campy, but I feel the need to top it this year. I know someone who baked cupcakes, each with a letter on top that spelled out "Prom? (smiely face)"
I've been throwing around the idea of getting a fortune cookie that asks her to prom, but I'm not sure how I would accomplish that...
Any ideas?

Yes, there is a book called, http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Book-Ways-Answer-Dances/dp/096558352X/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1301895623&sr=1-5 that an old teacher of mine wrote with his wife many many years ago. There are some excellent ideas in it that you could use.
Hope that helps.
