Hey folks,

since I've spend pretty much the whole week to make retextures of creatures, I couldn't update the MMAT mod, but I have a little goodie for you instead of. It's called creature addtions and in version 0.1 is only a modder ressource, as I need to do much more testing before I know where and into which leveled list spawns to place the new creatures. The mod will improve in future versions, as I'm also planning to build new spawn points all over the whole New Vegas map, but as mentioned, this needs testing first.

You can help me however. If you have ideas for creatures you want to see, leave me a coment here or on the Nexus and I'll see what I can do. If you stumble across a place ingame and think to yourself that this would be a good place for a Spawn Point, open the console and use GetPos X and GetPos Y on an object and leave the coordinates in a comment. So here's the mod quote:

This, for now, is a pure modders ressource but will be improved in future versions. It adds 25+ retextured vanilla creatures and puts them into the creature list in GECK. They still need to be placed into the leveled list and incooperated into spawns. Feel free to use it in your own mod. Adds the following new creatures:

5x retexture of Blowfly
2x retexture of Cazador
2x retexture of Coyote
1x retexture of Deathclaw
3x retexture of Gecko
1x retexture of Fire Gecko
3x retexture of Giant Worker&Soldier Ant
3x retexture of Lakelurk
4x retexture of Giant Mantis
1x retexture of Mole Rat
3x rextexture of Giant Ant Queen
2x retexture of Giant Rat
2x retexture of Radroach
2x retexture of Barkscorpion
2x retexture of Nightstalker

Notice that thoose creatures are not in the game. You need to place them yourself. Simply fire up the Geck and search for the leveled creature lists and place them with your preference. If you have requests for certain creatures, leave me your ideas in a comment, I'll see what I can do to inccoperate them. See the screenshots for details of the creatures.

I'm sorry for the size of the download, but in order to make the mod work, I need to put in the vanilla animation files, because new creatures won't work without them.

1. Extract the files from the archive.
2. Copy files to (install folder)\Fallout New Vegas\Data\
3. Make sure to apply the ArchiveInvalidation changes to the Fallout_Default.ini in your Fallout New Vegas folder.
4. Start Fallout New Vegas Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esp file.

2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.

You might want to state what your actual skill set consists of because every time someone comes along saying give me creature requests people start to request things that require actual skills Modeling, Sculpting, Rigging, Animation, Texturing -> you know from scratch work not just re-textures.

Seriously there are people that still think Martigan creates from scratch all of the creatures that go into MMM -> he does not they are re-hashes of vanilla creatures all of them use some part or parts of something vanilla.

Just saying be clear about what you can and can not do so people make reasonable requests.

Anythings a reasonable request. If I can't do it, I can learn to do it. If I can't learn to do it, I probably can't do it at all.

I don't know anything about my skills, as I don't have anyone to compare with. Seems you know more about my skills then me.

I'm in know that Martigen only retextured Vanillas, and I know I can't do Blender yet...but that doesn't mean I can't learn it.

Who retextured what now? *cough*

Mart bless him has excellent skills in the use of the GECK, however you will find it was other people who actually did the retexturing, like me for one, quite alot of them as it happens.

Some of those creatures you did ended up pretty scary-looking, as they were so detailed!
I use your Oblivion cave textures in FO3. Fits nicely and looks great :hehe:

And the reason that I want to know who did the retextures in Martigens Mod is? Martigens Mod was awesome, so I basically don't give a penny about who did the rextextures. You're in urgent need of credits? Well done, you're awesome.

One word of advice from me. If you make a mod that adds retextures it would be a good idea to actually show screenshots of them so people know what they are downloading and if they want them. You have no screenies of your retextures.

Oh and btw I dont really like your tone, your basically saying that every mod that comes out that uses alot of other people work the only person that should get any credit is the person who releases it, I think you are vastly underestimating the amount of work I put into MMM with Martigen.

If I make mods that adds retextures on the Nexus and I know people only have to follow a link (which is posted in the first post of this thread I recon), it's basically a good idea to put the screenshots there, cause you can't even show screenshots here on gamesas Forums without following a link, right? So you basically just follow one (instead of 24) link(s) to the Nexus and can see all the screenshots in the screenshots section of the mod. Good idea that is.

Oh and btw., I really don't like your tone, you're basically implying that I'm against correct credits and don't respect the vastly amount of work you put into Martigens Mod. I ensure you, I really respect and credit the work you did, but just like I said, I don't give a penny about it when playing Martigens Mod...or do you really believe I spend my time to praise your holy efforts? No, I usually just play the game.

So please stop to twist the words in my mouth and make up your mind about the purpose of this thread. Thank you, have fun.
