Creatures of TES V

A good idea would be to have humans and creatures that change depending on how long they are around and their circumstances. Wolf Cubs when around for long enough become big bad wolves. Hahaha. Or NPC's can catch lycanthropy or porphyric hemophilia. However just like the fantasy genre within literature if you keep to the same old things there's the very real danger of the genre becoming stagnant. I'd like a creature or a pack of creatures that even at a high level I have to prepare to fight. A creature that will still disgust, terrify and/or intimidate me no matter ow good I become. A creature that if I run into on the cuff and alert them the only thing I can do is run. So I now know where they are. I go back geared up, set some traps and take it down in exchange for an excellent mcguffin say a key to it's lair where there is either a hoard of goodies, people to free or a new quest line. Creatures that imprison you in their lair instead of killing you. You then have to break out.

I hope there will be more creatures than in Oblivion.

If the game keeps Oblivion's bestiary (mostly for Southern Skyrim) and expands it with Bloodmoon's bestiary, plus a few animals from Scandinavia / Canada, I will be satisfied.

We don't need many more creatures. If you add the undead, the daedras and the humanoids you already have 50+ creatures. I'd also like more variations in the humanoids (classes of the NPC identifiable right away) and undead (ghouls, banshees, wights, higher level undead being different (bigger / better conserved or whatever) than lower level ones)

I don't like to talk about science in fantasy settings, but if we good if we could avoid reptiles in the snow ... (even though I probably wouldn't mind. It just felt weird to see reptiles in the poll)

i voted all the anchint cultures monsters but i wont them very diffrent just use them as a base to make kool things and there needs to be dragons very very very very rare and strong creatures and for the love of mara bring back werebeasts. soo lets recap

raare and uber strong dragons that could rip your head off are a must

use mythic rip offs as a starting point but warp them to something new

and no werewolf=no fun

raare and uber strong dragons that could rip your head off are a must-not-do

Fix'd :D

Dragons in TES lore are creatures of epic proportions. TES is presented as a video game. And video games generally have problems depicting things in epic proportions. Cases in point: Battle of Bruma, becoming a Daedric Prince. Therefore, if dragons were included, they would be trivialized and watered down, perhaps not in mechanics, but in severity and sense of power, simply because a game cannot accurately portray such a thing.

And no one could honestly defeat a dragon single-handedly or even with a few allies. Cyrus the Restless did it, but that's because Cyrus was all beefed up on Hoon-Ding Ra'Gada badassery at the time.

Most options are general enough to be in any province (with some exceptions) It's what kind of creatures you would like to see (more)... Birds will probably be around all of Tamriel but are excluded in Oblivion... that's what I mostly meant with the poll ;)

Why is everyone here asking for Morrowind creatures and the Dwemer? If the game is in Skyrim, then the latter had fortresses in the eastern mountains, and it would be perfectly possible for those places to have Dwemer machines. However, there won't be any Morrowind creatures, or at least not any creatures that were in the game, because of the rugged terrain of northwestern Morrowind and the fact that any creatures we saw in the game are probably only found on Vvardenfell, besides the ones that people can train.

I don't know why everyone wants things from Greek and Norse mythology, either, as you can find that in any other fantasy game (yes, most of the ideas in the Lord of the Rings are from Norse and Gaelic mythology). And, besides, it's not Greek and Norse when the game designers have changed it. I think Bethesda should be more original; it's not hard. The Greeks and the Norse managed it. If they must use a real culture's mythology, do something that not many people have heard of. Not Greek, not Norse, not Gaelic, but the Picts, the Native Americans, or the steppe tribes. The Picts have provided us with a large amount of ridiculous animals through their art, and historically they even managed to breed some of them. They were mostly just different animals stuck together, some real, some from Pictish mythology; Bethesda could easily come up with their own.

i dont want were creature to become like an ordinary enemy nor vamps. Also, some options were like greek creatures and dragons. WTF is tht all about i want creatures tht belong in the prov tht the game takes place in. i know everyone hates cliffracers but in a new game with better fighting and stuff a sykrim equivalent could be pretty fun to dominate. for creatures id like to see, if its in skyrim then i would just want them to get creative and make the creatures as interesting as in MW even for things like transport ex the silt striders. if not then atleast make the enemies like there were on solstheim but more and better. nothing wrong with wolves and bears but not just wolves and bears. also i think tht the whole pelt biz on solstheim was sweet and tht seal things and also that thing tht attacked you with a human leg. so plz beth get creative, and dont put things like minotaurs in the game even though they were fun to kill in OB. something big and hard to beat is all good but just get creative with the enemies is my msg.
