Creatures that do not attack

Hi all, I remembered that in Morrowind I have mods that alter the creatures behaviour and I even edited some myself to them being non aggressive as I would really like to enjoy the scenery, with the exception of daedra, the undead and bandits.I searched around and saw some passive creatures mods for Oblivion.

Are any of the passive creatures mods compatible with OOO or MMM? As OOO and MMM also changed the creatures behaviour so is it compatible with these mods or should I just open OOO and MMM and just edit the creatures and create an esp seperately? I feel that it is weird that I'm being attacked at every round by boars, wolves, etc.

Anyway, should I download those passive creatures mods, ar ethey compatible with OOO& MMM or should I just edit OOO & MMM to make the creatures non agressive or even remove the spawn points completely? Would it break the game?

Sorry, I misread your original post. I interpreted it as saying you had creatures not attacking and thought there may have been a compatibility issue. >.>

Typically, with load orders, the rule is "the effects of later mods supersede earlier ones with similar effects." That's not always the case, but if mods X and Y both affect the AI of specific enemies and Y loads last, Y's commands will be the ones that go into effect.

So if you want to pacify an enemy that Mart's or Oscuro's makes vicious, you'd load that pacification mod after them.

DO you have KOTN installed ?? -- the boots from it have a script that makes woodland creatures not attack you while wearing them - so if you wanted the effect without wearing the boots you could easily add that script to another item in the CS.

Those boots don't use an universal method, so to speak. Knights of the Nine directly edits some creatures adding them to a new Predator faction, and the player is also added to that faction when wearing the boots and removed when not.
With Wrye Bash, you could change the aggression or confidence stats of the creatures you want to alter in an esp, then add a Actors.AIData tag to that file, and import it into the bashed patch to maintain compatibility with other mods changing those creatures. But you still have to edit any new creature added by mods directly yourself.
So yes, you have to make patches over OOO and MMM for the new creatures they add, and preferably use Wrye Bash to preserve the changes from the passive wildlife mods you use when using those mods.

Normally I'd suggest that you use the FCOM_SpawnRatesStronger optional plug-in which reduces the number of spawn points and therefor the frequency of "passive" attacks. You'll encounter enemies where you'd expect to find them, the difference being these will normally spawn 2/3 levels above your own.
IMO this gives you a much more rewarding and satisfying game.
Your problem there is your using a mod that overwrites the FCOM leveled lists which in turn effects the way the mod was devised to function.
The result being that type of plug-in can't work with your current mod setup.

MMM/FCOM should make the mudcrabs passive to begin with. "What's the point really? Annoying creatures." ;)

Which mods are overwriting my OOO/MMM leveled lists? Can't see anything that overwrites them or perhaps I have missed them?
