So I adopted Francois and Lucia, we live in Windstad Manor, I had recently obtained a cool shield, so I went into the west wing bedroom to hang it on the rack so they'd have something to look at, and on a whim I decided to look at what was in my kid's footlocker chests. Lucia's was empty, but when I went over to Francois' crate, it had some gold, and Iron dagger and a copy of Boethiah's Glory. What is the weirdest or creepiest thing your kid has put in his or her chest?

I found vampire dust in one chest, not sure where that came from! They also have a large variety of other ingredients, jewelry, clothes, sweets, weapons, and books. There are a couple of longbows, that's pretty strange too.

I have the bedroom wing, so both kids have their own chests, but seem to use only one chest and the upstairs dresser, not sure why. Both seem to use either one, as I have found items given to each in both places. I find that weird.

I get mostly alchemical ingredients. My kids are awesome!
