Creepy Little Monkey

Post » Mon Jan 18, 2016 8:39 am

Am I the only one thoroughly creeped out by the motion activated monkey toy with the glowing eyes and cymbals?

I'm probably showing my age with this, but those creepy little monkeys just make me think about that Stephen King short story, The Monkey, that was part of the Skeleton Crew collection of stories. Clapping cymbals = someone dies.

I've started shooting the damn things. Blowing the monkey's head off is quite satisfying.

I wish you could craft them. I have to settle with decorating with jangle's creepy ass.

Whenever I see them I am reminded of the same monkey that was in Toy Story 3... That thing was terrifying! :P

I put a 10mm round in them whenever I spot them. No point in letting them wake up and alert the local yokels...

Has anyone noticed any similar problems with Jangles the Moon Monkey? I'm always a bit wary of that one, but I've yet to see one react to my presence the way the other ones do.

The moon monkey is just inanimate. It's junk you can pick up for workshop materials.

I think his creepy ass works like an alarm too! At least I've been swarmed by Raiders within seconds on several occasions after setting off a monkey.

It's absolutely an alarm. Best thing is to just shoot them. Shotgun is quite satisfying.

When I was child I had an irrational fear of sock monkey's (many a handy grandmother who knitted or sewed made these demonic things back when), That has been well quite a while ago but I am still no fan of Jangels or cymbal banging monkey.

heh

If you look close at Moon monkey on his pack there seems to be a draw string.... What does it do ???? did this toy talk or have some sort of action, shudders.

Yeah, they can work like an alarm, but I've encountered a couple that also seem to be rigged up to bombs as well.

Yea, I always shoot their heads off,....................just to be safe. Always feel like they're going to do something as soon as I turn my back
