CREEPY Morrowind fanfic!

Can you take a few pictures and show us?

I'll try. Give me a bit. I'm staying in a different house than where my computer is tonight. Don't have morrowind on this laptop. Will have access to my desktop tomorrow, and will post screenies then.

So it does exist. Is there any way to examine it through the TES III Construction Set? Or is it incompatible?

Edit: Because if what the creepy story says regarding it is true, it sounds like the only way to figure this mod is to look into it outside of the actual game. Either that or nerves of steel and some powerful CE enchantments. Truth be told, I'm quite curious about it and how it works but I don't want to let that thing near my computer, and I'm not that good at taking files apart and making sense of them beyond editors. But I do want to know if there even is anything beyond that door, or if it was just to set people up for the scare.

Won't open in the Construction Set. With my own knowledge of illicit computer modifications, I could say that it might appear like a TES construction set file, but actually has an exe or virus bound to it.

I know for a fact, for example, that JPGs can have RAR files hidden in them. That the same can be done with Construction Set files, would be my best guess. It does many things not possible in the CS, so my personal belief is that there's an executable bound to it. It would probably take a better programmer than I to look any further.

I was afraid of that. I guess we'll have to wait until someone comes along willing and able to take it apart.

I'd like it if someone actually used the story as a template to create a mod that actually does that for as of right now morrowind doesn't really have any moments that make me jump. But I do find the story a little anticlamatic considering it never reveals whats behind the door. Reminds me of a story I read sometime this year in the community discussion thread about a cave that ppl where exploreing and all but it never did tell what happend. Now that I think of it that story had crazy stalking shadow people too.

Wait, so this mod really exists? I find that hard to believe.

The one idea I've had is to change the extension of the CS to .exe

That way, I could try running it as an executable directly. However, since it's never covered in the original recording of the effects of the mod, I don't want to risk losing my computer to an adverse reaction. A defense mechanism, if you will, to stop us from finding out more that could seriously damage my computer.

If anyone here has an old computer, they could try running it on that.

I couldn't sleep last night, thanks to this! I was convinced that if I turned off my light, I would start seeing the Assassin! To I am The Walrus!, you must have nerves of steel to actually play this mod. I would probably break my computer before I played it.

Wow. Just read the whole thing - very unnerving. One of my shirt sleeves unrolled itself while I was reading, and the moment I felt it I jumped up thinking it was the assassin! :ahhh:

I'm wondering if this does indeed exist? Some parts sound very believable, whilst at the same time I'm pretty sure the Construction Set alone isn't capable of doing much of what is described. It'd probably have to be a complete executable rewrite, as is usually the case with creepypasta stories.

Maybe you could use http://www.sandboxie.com/ to try and run it within a contained environment? I don't want to come off as aggressive here, but claiming that the mod exists and that you intend to run it only to then hesitating in doing so just makes the whole thing less believable.

I'll try that tomorrow, also, thanks for the link.

i google searched this and found a crap load of stuff that says it dosnt exist, and nothing that says it does exist, and nothing on youtube. i doubt the existence of such a program, but i must say that if it would exist it would be brilliant.

A 4chan creepypasta tweaked to fit Morrowind, unmakeable in the Construction Set, then someone shows up and claims it actually exists? Colour me sceptical.

We will never see any. The mod doesn't exist, as simple as that.

A mod that couldn't be loaded in the CS but it could be loaded through DosBox? Would be nice if the story at least tried to sound genuine.

Really, does that make any sense at all?

For what it's worth, there is a video that has the "Watch the sky" audio recorded. Needless to say this could easily be fake.

I'm staying at the family house for the holidays. Using my grandmother's laptop.

I was going to go home today, but I slept in until 6pm(was up til 8am or around such last night.). It was pretty cool to go to sleep with it dark outside ,and wake up 11 hours late with it still dark outside.

Anyway, I'll let you know when I get home to the PC which I have Morrowind and the mod on.

Hey guys, just want to clear this up. When you look up the original story http://inuscreepystuff.blogspot.com/2010/09/jvk1166zesp.html#comment-form I am the December 25 anonymous commenter, so I do not have the mod or original voice mp3, I only downloaded the file from the December 22 commenter. I uploaded the mp3 to YouTube to make it easy to access so everyone could hear it without downloading the file, if this is proven to be faked I will remove the video.

I also do not want to be seen as believing in this tale or associated with the spreading of the story. I was only trying to help.

The audio from that video is just a edit of pre-existing audio. Mainly from "under sun and sky outlander we greet you warmly" and "watch yourself we'll have no trouble here" that dunmer say to you.

I thought the same, but that might still be the actual sound used in the mod to remove the need of voice acting, or it could be fake.
