I have TamrielTravellersItemsNPC.esp with both "Filter" and "NoMerge" - so it's not in the Bashed Patch and it's not activated. I'm not sure what's the deal with it.

For bgBalancingEVOptionalNPCDiversity, TNR Merge Better Redguards.esp - I wasn't sure if this includes both the TNR and Better Redguards esp modifications or if either of those two ought to be loaded still.

It is tagged filter and NoMerge because its changes should only be imported, and it should not be active. Its shows up in the leveling section of the bashed patch. It is fine.

The RBP plugin includes both. If you look at the naming scheme for its other plugins, not to mention the "Merge", that should be apparent... Do not take this harshly, but think a little more about it first. You can check the changes in TES4Edit, and do a number of other things without asking every little question here. Did you test this setup incrementally? It's huge...

Thanks for the reply!

I try not to ask everything, I really do. But I've been fiddling with mods and trying to install everything, BAIN everything, update everything for over a month now and I'm getting quite fed up with it. I want to play the game for a change. Perhaps I ought to do it the way you said, and start smaller and add mods one at a time. There's a lot of them though that are better off being installed on a fresh character (like MMM and OOO and RBP) - which are the bulk of my setup anyway.

How do you know all this stuff? :) I can't keep up with the updates and all that, and I visit these forums daily. It's nice to see someone still manages to stay on top of it all though.

I've got a few questions for you - I've been to TESIV:POSITIVE and looked through the downloads section. You've got links to the USIP MOBS and UOMP MOBS that go to Fran's 4.5b patches on TesNexus. My question is if those files are only for users of his mod, or those using FCOM, or if they work for everyone else. It made me wonder because there is a MOBS version of the UOP for everyone, but only those for the USIP or the UOMP (as far as I know).

I'll add your suggestions and see if that helps. Thanks again!

The most updated http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30142. The one on the Frans patches pages is out of date (based on UOP 320), far as I know there is no need for updates to the USIP or UOMP with MOBS (which are found on the Frans Patches Nexus page).

Yes a large load order is a lot of work - huh?

My own story is, I think, typical. I wanted to play the bestest game ever and was mod greedy. Instead of testing each small mod I thought I had to have them all.

So not the case. What I ended up doing was making it so that I had all that to test for working AT ONCE - made months of work for myself and played two characters before giving up and letting them go and starting over again. I still cycle mods in and out but other than updates I only try and tackle like two new mods at a time - and preferably if the modder making them is very involved still in the process.

If playing FCOM - really the only thing you need working is basic FCOM - and Race Balancing (maybe LAME if that too). Pretty much all the rest can be added as you go.

Think of it like this - the more you add the more you need to test, update, retest, disable and re-enable when finding issues. It adds up to hours and while the ideal immersive game from the beginning sounds amazing - the only way your going to truly get the well oiled game going is by knowing each mod, what it does, a bit of that in the CS, in tes4edit, and in relation to other mods. If you add all at once then just keep adding to that time to learn it all.

So think about your load order and think - hmmm does this really need to there from the very beginning? What jumps out at me is Inns of Cyrodiil. Not a harmful mod ... but needed? Are you really gonna play Knights and SI?

Even things like city overhauls BC or OC are not needed at the very beginning. they can be added later. Your load order is much like mine and like everyone around here. Even getting it like others with the most popular - this game is finicky and will give you hassles.

It says in any case where not using Fran SI. There is no reference to FCOM in the notes...

There is already a note that says which version to download (see my last two posts), and the Installation guides on TESIV:POSItive (and "My BAIN Package List") puts MMM after OOO in the install order. That makes sense though, as you are installing support for another mod, the mod being supported should probably be installed beforehand.

Hey there!

For some reason I can't see the magical projectiles. I'm not sure why - the spells get cast and the effect is visible on the target, but no fireball in the air, no lightning... Not sure what's causing it. My load order isn't the one in the first post, but rather this one:

I should mention that I'm running the game on Bloom, not HDR and this happened before LAME too. Any ideas?

This sounds like a good case for using TES4View. Get the FormID of the warped spells and see what shows up. I have not seen or heard of this before, but it does not sound that crazy.
