3/3 Critical Shot-- worth it?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 2:09 pm

I'm wondering if you feel the full 3 points in Critical Shot is worth it, or just toss 1 point into it? Does 3 points have increased damage, or is it simply increased chance? (1 point shows 10% chance, 3 points shows 20% chance)

If your primary method for dealing damage is bow then id say absolutely. Going from a 1/10 chance to crit improved to 1/5

Increased damage and chance, it's good, definitely worth taking IMO.

Well if you are playing as a archer its a no brainer, if not then there might be better perks still. The restoration tree has some nice perks btw.

Any enemy that takes multiple shots is gonna be taking more damage more often. That's good.

As an archer, your attack speed is not as fast as sword or dagger so the better chance to critical hit the better for your survival against swarming or tough enemies. If you can create or fine 4 fortify archery items and wear them all you will see that critical is very useful for in-combat (not while sneaking around). My best one for now is Ebony Bow enchanted with shock (25dmg) with full options for pure archery (currently) Ebony bow of mine deal about 110 dmg (x3 sneaky critical) > 330+25 quite hard eh? :D while in-combat still hit hard with 1/5 chance to critical.
