Cross platform?

Post » Fri May 29, 2009 3:15 am

In the faq's post there was a question of whether the game will be released on certain platforms. Now, no answer can be given at this time, as expected, but I have a general question about this. If the game is released on pc, xbox and ps3 will it be possible for players from each of these platforms to play on the same server? Or to put it another way, is it possible to have cross-platform servers? The reason I ask is because I can't think of one game that currently offers this (although i'm sure someone will prove me wrong) and wondered whether this was because of compatibility limitations or something like that.

It would be great if I could play this game on my pc against my xbox 360 owning buddies.

I doubt it will be out for consoles. It will probably take a while for it to come out on MAC.

Windows had a thing set up for Xbox players and PC players to play on the same servers, I believe they did it for Shadowrun. But I highly doubt they could get Xbox and Playstation to work on the same server like that.
Fallout 3 and Oblivion were pretty much the same game on xbox/pc.
The only thing that would be troublesome is updating the console versions. And also you couldn't have the User Created Mods (if there WERE to be any) on the console editions.

think it says in the FAQ (not sure) that they can only make it for the PC due to the legal issues with bethesda In gaming terms... Life's a die, then you bich.
