crossbows confirmed?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 12:43 am

sorry i cant put up a link or pic, the internet is being a [censored] right now.

anyways, in the concept art trailer, try to find the concept with the red rocket garage. then look to the bottom left and you'll see an image of a man shooting a seagull.its pretty obvious that man was holding a crossbow. what do you think about it?

also this is my first post so don't judge me.

find the slide with the red rocket garage or gas station in the middle and look in the bottom left corner.

Not impossible, crossbows are basically ancestors of our modern rifles and shares much design. Plus heck we already have a recent example of Beth using them in Skyrim.

I would enjoy a crossbow. It would be a nice option I think for any one not wanting to waste ammo on things like molerats and bloatflys early in the game before ammo becomes more plentiful.

And it be a nice way to spice things up for stealth players.

Also think of the modding, electro bolts, flame bolts, scopes, etc.

Good stuff! Also, the sadist in me would enjoy turning Raiders into pincushions!

Related to crossbows and melee weapons, has any one heard if poisons are back from NV?

Of course, just because something's in the concept art doesn't mean it made it into the game, so I wouldn't say crossbows are confirmed. But as Dawnguard in Skyrim introduced support for crossbows, I can't think of any technical reason why they wouldn't be included.

Even though I'm more of a recurve bow type person, I'd like to see compound bow in the game. Crossbows are.. meh.

If you look at it, what would be easier to hand craft in apocalyptic world of Fallout, a plasma rifle or a bow?

"In the first year, Todd said 'let there be dynamic volumetric light', and there was light... And by the sixth year, Todd looked down upon all that he had made, and saw that it just works!"

Sorry, couldn't resist it.

True, but that was pretty much a tool then a weapon, actual full on weapon grade crossbows is a different matter.

Oooo, and given the available tech in the Fallout Universe..... I could really see a selective fire, magazine (or belt?) fed Crossbow. :) REALLY turn those raiders into pincushions. :D

That's a bad example though since Crossbows been in The Elder Scrolls series since 1996... Oblivion just removed them completely and Skyrim didn't had them until DLC.

Personally, bows and arrows combine more with me. Failing this, crossbows is a good alternative.

nice find friend.

True, but Skyrim is still the most recent example and shows that they have made them in a game that shares the same engine as 4

Plasma Rifle. Real bows are a lot more difficult to make than you suggest. The plasma rifle is just a collection of parts that you put together. As long as you have the parts, you have a plasma rifle. With the widespread availability of guns, it's highly unlikely that anybody is going to waste their time making bows.

Really? I can make an argument that nuclear reactor is a collection of parts that you put together.

Anyway I didn't ask which one is more effective. I asked which one is easier to make.
