Crossbows throwing knives and stars?

Provided they're ineffective against dragons I'm fine with that.

Throwing weapons or posions? I imagine a dart wouldn't hurt a dragon at all, but a throwing axe might hurt it some.

The only throwing weapons I could take seriously are Javelins and Throwing Axes... Throwing Knives? Might do... Throwing Stars? Really? Darts... :lmao:
IF they do make it in, Knives, Darts and Stars should be blocked by armor, kind of like what they did in New Vegas.

Well Shurikens were never intended to inflict damage, they were a diversionary tool.

Snowballs! Why does everyone always forget snowballs?

Great for a distraction, popped in the head it's a stunning blow, not to mention a taunt, or even stacking snowballs for a consumable snow fort for the end big end game battle!!!! (adn then the dragon breathed fire.....)

I really hope to see throwing weapons.

Ok, so no crossbow. That makes me a little :(

But if there won't be any throwing weapons I'll be D:

I really want to trhow a spear in someones head, or throw an axe in someone direction.

Really hope there are throwable weapons! :D

It looks like we won't have crossbows (Maybe they can add them in with DLC. Maybe.) I really hope they include throw weapons. To start with, we need a one hand marksman weapon, or we will all end up packing fireball spells for that quick range option. It also sets the foundation for other things. Like throwing rocks to distract people or throwing alchemy bombs.

If dumping the Crossbow and throwing-weapons for a much more improved experience with the Bow, I'd say I'm all for it. Spears however....

...and their reasoning is: it won't add anything to the gameplay...and they would know since they are playing it everyday.

thats as reasonable as getting rid of every melee weapon but swords because axes and warhammers don't add anything to gameplay that swords already do. no its simply moronic to limit ranged combat to one weapon and to say that no gameplay is lost. just because you didn't use them doesn't mean no one else did.

Throwing knives not adding anything to gameplay is bull. Throwing knives are one handed which means in skyrim you would either duel wield throwing knives/stars or you could use a knife and shield like in Morrowind. Regardless I want as many possible weapon choices possible for the most variety and fun. Flails could do the exact same as long swords when it comes down to swinging speed and damage, but it would still be awesome!

I just had an idea...a perk that allows you to throw your weapon.

Well how about such concept?
Return of throwing weapons will great,

They are not crossbows so will not looks outside of technology level in Skyrim (there is still can be an dwemeric artifact crossbow as prototype for http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/22684-2-1237587327.jpg),

Throwing weapons isn't hard to be done,

Throwing weapons will expand Marksman and make it more interesting and variable,

Work well with stealth alchemy as throwing flasks of Flammable Oils, Damage Equipment Acid, Slippery Grease, Poison and Paralyze Gas, Smoke or Flashbang Bombs etc.

Add ability distract enemies guards with with throwing clutter around

Some throwing weapons can relay on Agility and Marksman so poison needles and darts, stars and daggers, can be usable by nimble characters, some on Strength and Marksman so powerful characters will not relay only on melee combat but also will have some options for short and middle distance like Throwing Axes, Javelins, Throwing Hammers, Stones for Giants

Throwing weapon isn't has the same purpose as bows have bows work middle-long distance need better targeting and usable for sniper and need time to be drawn, bows utilize both hands for work like two handed weapons
while Throwing weapon work on short-middle distance not need better targeting so there is no bow sway effect, usable for silent kills at short distance, take smaller time to draw, utilize dual wielding (we can throw two projective at one time) and even with some skills (perks) can give ability throw more weapons at one time thats anologue of dual wielding for marksman weapons.

No need different or special button for Throwing Grab Key can be used with Strike Button for current hand Simulationsly, hold it for some time and release will allow throw current equipped item forward, holding it more will allow thrown it furtherer, use just strike button will swing weapons as melee weapon, if throwing an clutter no need to show it in equipped in hand and quick tap of grab will drop item, while another quick tap will allow garb item again, no need hold button for dragging item around.

If they have increased the drawing time of bows, imagine reloading a crossbow. You would probably only get one shot, hope you hit, and have to change to a melee weapon. If there's more than one enemy, again you will still be reliant on the melee weapon even if you hit one enemy.

Throwing weapons, on the other hand, could be an interesting add. One hand throwing knife, other hand sword/dagger/axe/mace; could be a winner. Maybe have them limited to medium range and just give you something to hit the enemy with as they close the gap. Couple them with poison (from the confirmed alchemy skill), and it could add to an assassin style character's abilities.
