I personally turn the feature off in Fallout 3, and with ADS in NV will anyon else be joining me?
PS: I am going to play hardcoe Mode as well :D

Well I don't think I will, but I don't see it hurting me either because I'll be using the improved iron sights mostly, and some VATS on the side.

It makes you aim more. On my first playthrough of Fallout 3 with it off i ran out of ammo occasionally and always had a baseball bat.

Well I can pick up stuff in the real world without a crosshair, so why not!

you still see the name of things you look at so there is no REAL detriment unless you cant aim.

I used the crosshairs to aim. I guess I could just follow the tracer rounds and adjust accordingly, Since the choices were crossharis or "shoot from the hip" I chose crosshairs. When I use big guns I don't pay attention tot he crosshairs though.

You dont need them to aim REALLY, after a few minutes you do just as well w/out them as w/ them.

I will be going with no crosshair and no HUD, maybe i'll role play and put the HUD back on if I get a powered helmet. I don't need the sneak warning and compass or anything else. All I need now is a realtime pipboy and i'd be happy.

With iron sights I won't be needing crosshairs. The center of the screen is pretty easy to fathom from the hip.

As long as I don't encounter a situation where I have to pick up a lot of '(1) Microfusion Cells', I should be good. Damn simulation.

Nah. I'll also be playing in hardcoe mode. And I own and shoot guns in real life as well. But I play Fallout for a bit of escapism, so it doesn't bother my that I'm roleplaying a cowboy awesome enough to hit people while shooting from the hip, just like in those over-the-top action movies. If I want more realistic shooting... I'll go take one of my guns out and shoot it for real. :gun:
