Crowd Funding Voice Actors for Mods.

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 1:11 pm

Being that our playable character is voiced I think we will run into problems for story based quest in mods that require dialogue. It will feel in consistent to do this.

I think the best option to do this is to reach out to the main protagonist and pay them to voice mods.

The real issue here is legal issues, Im not sure if bethesda will be on board with the main character voice actors making money from their game without their consent.

Our only other hope is to have the voiceactors agree to do it for free, and Im not too sure about that...

What do you guys think?

I think a mod that disables all player character voice is the way to go, bring back detailed text menus of exactly what your PC is going to say to an NPC.

Since the Dialogue system is dynamic, it is entirely possible for modders to pick over the Main Characters tens of thousands of lines of dialogue and implement it into the quest. It may not substitute for the whole mod, but it would be good for the vast majority of it.
