Crusade for Skyrim

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 12:02 am

I'm starting a crusade today. I shall complete every TES game (In the main series) from Arena to Oblivion. Not the ENTIRE games, but just the main story and maybe a little more if I feel like it. But don't make me do this on my own! Fellow TESians, I call upon thee! Join me in my TES Crusade to fully celebrate the release of the fifth installment of the series!

One cannot simply walk into Skyrim... without knowing what the past was like!

Keep us up with your Crusade characters in this thread with pictures, stories and such if you ever feel like doing so.

So let's start with Arena. Here is a download link (DosBox emulator needed): http://elderscrolls.com/arena/
After you're done with that game, install Daggerfall (Or just install both now and play DF later): http://elderscrolls.com/daggerfall/
You'll have to buy MW for around 5 dollars.
And you'll have to buy OB for the same price I'm guessing.

If you need any help, post questions in this thread. I'm sure TES veterans will be happy to answer some (Any tips on Arenas first dungeon? :P). Anyway, LET US BEGIN!!!

Those links are from UESP right? hate to burst your bubble but I wanted to post those things as well, so when I pm'ed a mod he said that they were illegal copies. It would make sense too because the Arena you have is the CD, and the free one Bethesda released was only the floppy. I'm not saying to take them off or anything, just passing the buck and letting you know to post the links from the official website

Oh and I bet alot of people here did this already, you would be suprised!

Just started playing Arena, and... I'm really enjoying it so far! It's simple and I can see it get repetitive, but it shouldn't be a problem doing the main quest only. I'm just wondering, how the heck do I travel from the starter city Greenwall (I'm guessing everyone starts there) to Hammerfell? I can't bring up the world map, any advice?

EDIT: Also, is there a way to increase the view distance? It's really low.

Currently working on my fourth... It's hard and can get boring/repetitive at times. But I WILL DO IT!
Yes I can!

This is my oath, I will finish all Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim comes out. :disguise:

You start in your race's province. You can get to other cities by right clicking on the map.

I've been pushing myself really hard and now have 7 pieces of the Staff of Chaos.
Let me tell you, this game has no mercy!

For my character anyway. I'm a Breton Spellsword, I survive by spamming healing spells and old school hack & slash.
I also need to drink potions like hell.
But I will make it... One way or another.

Can you grind? How does the level scaling work?

Yes you can grind, just go to a random dungeon and keep resting, the monsters will come to you.
Not sure about level scaling. I believe stronger enemies appear when you reach higher levels. Not sure as I only do the main quest.(Not much else to do)
