Cry of Duty: Nanosuit Warfare 2

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:16 am

Way to go Xbox360 users, by comparing this to CoD. Where as PC users might actually compare it to the first Crysis. But way to go. You Xbox users know exactly what to look for in differences between this and the first game. And way to go Crytek for making such a wise decision in allowing Bill Gates to play Crysis2 on his xbox instead of his Ultra PC that im sure he has. Bravo.

Well thats a minor issue and it could be fix easily. Also i show many ppl complain about melee and i think they are right ,In crysis wars u needed 2-3 melee to kill someone and u should always aim him. Putting the players model in an autoaim melee action and also melee players with one hit and kill is unrealistic and abusable but dont worry cause this also is easy to fix . From what i ve seen game runs super fine with nice graphics in xbox360. Im a pc gamer and when i show this graphics on xbox i got amazed cause seriously think that xbox360 is like 5-6 years old. Now imagine playing some tactical 6on6 crash site and adjust your nanosuit wise to complete the goals .Thats whats different from typical run and gun games like cod .

Now, I've played the demo and from first impressions it feels like MW2.
But then you realise that it is so much more.

The way you need to manage your suit energy, traverse the environment and react under fire is completely different. The suit plays a huge role. A vital role. You need to experience it to understand how important it is for you to keep an eye on your energy. Running around the level feels so much different. On Skyline there's never a 10m stretch where you can't take another route, or just run in a straight. There's always climbing, running up stairs, down stairs and jumping down craters.

The voices are so much more than the CoD's generic "cover me!" and "reloading!". If you're shooting a hologram they'll say "It's not ****ing real!". If you're losing they'll say "Whatever we're doing, it's not working!". If you're winning "We got this in the bag!" I even heard one suit evilly laughing as he killed some of the other team in quick succession.

The 6v6 teams are perfect. Any less and you can't find action, but more and everything's uncontrollable. There were hints of this in the gameplay, where you suddenly died to a cloaked melee to your back, or walk into a full team of enemies.

I'm sick of this "omgz diz has dis elementz from COD this game sux ass wtflol copycat lolwat herp derp durrr hurr". Sure, OK, class system. It borrows that from COD. So what? So what? Huh? Have you got a complaint about how the class and leveling up system works in COD? Do you? Is it not balanced? Is it broken in some way or form? Is there a problem with it? Is there?

If there isn't I suggest that you just shut up. If you can't play the game well enough, that doesn't mean the game svcks.

Unless you have an actual complaint about some element of the game being broken, stop being an idiot and get out.

Thanks
Iceman

I do understand that developers have private beta's but why make it private? how can they possibly find most of the flaws by not opening up to the public. Making it a private beta is like..recording a demo tape and not sending it to the labels asking for any opinions.

To be fair, the only way to beat Call of Duty is to be what everything Call of Duty is and isn't.

What do you all expect? They consolized it and Crysis is now ruined. If you want a real game just boot up Crysis and rub it in the console kiddies faces.

This demo was trash.

It really doesn't feel like Call of Duty at all, it shares some mechanics like the killstreaks and perks, but the actual gameplay does not feel like CoD.

Cry of Duty: Nanosuit Warfare 2

Why did you copy multiplayer from Call of duty?

- Basic COD multiplayer logic.
- Weapon animation from COD.
- Death animation COD.
- Primitive COD voice logic. Players in nanosuits but the voices are without effect vestments. Just put pail on actors heads.

Nathan Camarillo, please don't kill Crysis Online. Take your COD disk and throw him in window and go in office for create revolutionary game mode.

Hate it or love it. I don't like Call of Duty, but I like Crysis 2's MP, but still I don't like Crysis 1's MP because of inbalance issues, that haven't been fixed since now. Nearly unplayable for newcomers.
^agree crysis 1 did terrible in the market, crysis 2 has to catch up with the current game market, if you dont like it, then maybe you will like crytek going out of buisness

Cause private beta is being played by people who know more about graphics tech ,bugs and flaws . Let me ask one question. U prefer making a game under a public beta feedback and i mean about balance etc etc or bringing 50 people who played lots of shooters and are hardcoe gamers and know what sould stay or go ?

Public beta is for minor fixes.Private beta is for heavy fixes ,its simple. Also when opening a beta to public many would whine about the product and connections an etc ..cause many ppl dont even know what beta is
Watch all the guys that right beta footage for xbox360 ..well guys its a demo and not a beta there is a big difference.

My online gammertag is kumo42. I have played just about every first person shooter game out there over the past decade. What happened to using vehicles and being able to go to prone. This is not the 1st pc game at all. FarCry hit the nail on the head with the map making capabilities and all of the options you had as far as using transport, going underwater and being able to climb on or under anything in the map invironment. I am sick of people trying to remake COD. Especially when the Crysis software engine is BETTER. The developers should have learned their lesson with the epic failure of Farcry 2(I know its not the same designers) and the recent failure of Medal of Honor. We want to play a game that doesn't BLUR when you run or have such washed out graphics. I am very disappointed in this company and I believe they need to get back to the basic of their first game because this one is a FarCry away from being successful....I also believe in Santa Clause.

So is your attitude.

This isn't about what Crysis 2 lacks or has, it's about the fact that people refuse to accept it as its own game.
This is nothing like Crysis 1... Because it isn't Crysis 1.
Crytek reserve the right to do whatever they want with their games.

The biggest two complaints I've seen are basically these:
Not enough innovation.
Not like Crysis 1.

"So you want a completely realistic, down to Earth show...
That's totally off the walls and swarming with magic robots?"

I completely agree.

Something else I want to say is, if you're only here to complain about the direction Crytek chose to go with Crysis 2, you're wasting your time. if you dont like it leave it.

Мда, похоже, все русские мыслят в одном направлении, тоже хотелось подобную тему создать.

slipknotweb, хватит троллить буржуев. В конце концов, Okay, like a Call of duty, well and what? In it absolutely there is nothing bad, game mechanics CoD is fulfilled and perfectly well works, and that fact that Crysis 2 is based on the same mechanics, only will raise chances of game of success.

PS
Sometimes Russian trolls will run from the Soviet Russia and go trolling on English-speaking sites. Be careful=).

Let's not forget that although gaming is a hobby for us, it is a business to them. And the bottom line for EVERY business on this planet is that they have to make a profitable return on every product they sell... period. So if you look at the sales of the COD franchise (especially MW2), then why not borrow elements that made those games so successful?? If you had a chance to earn a billion dollars then wouldn't you do the same?

I don't own a 360 so I can't judge for myself what the game is like, but I do remember how much fun I use to get out of COD4 (referring to that one 'cause I liked it better then MW2). Point being if these so-called features from COD are being borrowed from Crysis 2, then it's because it just simply makes sense to include them. I dare say it would be even counter intuitive for Crysis 2 to ignore these things, because it would just be wasting opportunity to enrich the experience.

Cod with some infuences from Halo Reach, not what I ordered.
I wanted Crysis 2 really, not "another CoD clone + lag". Hopefully they'll fix it before release or something :)
Anyhow, still got The Witcher 2 for PC and maybe Homefront for 360 :)

Guys dont be so hysteric ;) Crysis 2 become better and better you can see this in every new video) Crysis 2 can take some things from CoD. My opinion is every innovation useful.

P.S. Sorry for bad english
