Cryek - Patch Hasn't Fixed The Multiplayer Lag Issues

Is the absolute horrible lag in multiplayer going to be fixed? I realize most games have initial week lag, but the game is pretty much unplayable at this point. Every match has me being killed by noone, only to see the killcam show someone standing right there firing for a good 5 seconds. I can unload two clips into someone only to have them just turn around and kill me in one shot....yet the kill cam shows I fired nothing and they fired multiple times. I havent had one single lobby that had anyone other than the host as above 2 bars. Many times I'll die and the game lags so bad that the camera just sits on my corpse for a good 20 seconds, completely bypassing the killcam, while my character stutters and then the match resumes.
This is awful quality. I've given up on playing multiplayer altogether.

The game is very much playable and isn't even close to being out for a whole week. In my games the host always has full green bars me and a few others always have 3 green bars and the rest have low connection. But, it doesnt matter i've had red bar before and have still done very well. I'm sure they're working on improvements for the whole entire game. Crysis is Cryteks main IP they wouldnt let people be disappointed. Be patient play some amzing campaign!

i have never not even for a second had any lag at all so far. i run on 20 mbps and i have never had more or less than 3 bars in a game but never had any of the problems described.

And the author of that video has posted in the comments how he is playing from the Middle East! Of course he is going to lag!!!! He's playing where the host is in the US.....

Just another example of how the problem is not the game, but the user.

Exactly. And the video also is a good showcase of exactly how myself and a lot of people online are experiencing the game. The fact that this guy is in the middle east is irrelevant to the fact that the matchmaking and lag is awful and needs to be patched.

Me - UK
Guy 1- UK
Guy 2 -USA
Guy 3- UK
Guy 4- UK (Northern Ireland)
Guy5- UK
Guy 6- HOST, UK
Guy 7 - N/A
Guy 8- UK
Guy 9 - UK
Guy 10- UK
Guy 11- UK

So 9 UK players, 1 US and an unknown, why was the lag unbearable? Should the system of "Everybody gets their turn to be host" be removed? I really think this is the cause of the problem since the previous game with these players was fine.

Is there going to be a region filter plus static hosts in an update because surely Crytek cannot go on like this because it genuinely is unplayable in some games..

I have noticed that there is noticeable lag. Game itself is running fine but there is some serious problems with hit detection not registering correctly and is very noticeable in scoring the top players with really high scores always have the better connection probably why shots are hitting there mark, have put a whole clip in unarmored player kept moving like nothing happened, issue really needs to be addressed.

ive played a fair few games and had no lag what so ever so it prob means your game has a really **** host, just like lag on cod a **** host means loads of lag

SCAR. Use it a lot because so far, at least for me, it seems like the best weapon to use.

I'm probably going to be unlocking the Grendel and the Feline this weekend and will tell you how they go.

yeah thats what i mean, if the game places someone with a bad connection as host there is going to be lag which is the same as every game that has hosted lobbys so you may have one or 2 laggy games after a load of great games

Look mate this system isn't very good, having the host stay static causes less lag and less frustrating experiences.

Yeah but then you have the dilemma of the same host player having a latency advantage in every match. Like in COD whenever someone with an insane k/d ratio was in the lobby everyone already knew this person or one of his clan buddies who lives near him are going to be the host.

Your gripe should be with the host migration feature not working correctly. If the game was in fact laggy and unplayable it should have migrated hosts.

Edit: Treyarch and Infinity Ward were ranking/black listing hosts behind the scenes dynamically. Eg: If someone was constantly crashing games when they were hosting or always getting migrated - their host ranking would drop. Maybe something similar exists for this game.
