I am getting same error too, soon as i hit multi-player, it drops me to desktop with the

" DELETED REFERENCE COUNTED OBJECT TWICE " Error.

I can get into Single player no problem.

I have tried disabling eyefinity just in case, but get the same error.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Same issue here...

No overclocking and nothing unusual with my PC. I can perfectly play the campaign as well.

Here is a snippet of the log file where I was connected (before the latest patch), but unfortunately I can't see any server:

Deleting Reference Counted Object Twice

I don't have a Japanese keyboard.
However, I tried a couple of things:
I tried to have it run on one core, because I thought "Deleting Reference Counted Object Twice" may lead to a double operation which could be initiated by 2 cores, but it didn't do the trick.
Without the patch I tried to filter official server, because I read something like this in another forum, but it won't work either.
I also do have 2 GPUs, but I don't know how to set one core off.

Please help?

Same problem here. Had it since day 1. If i use the exe from the cd (by copying it into the install directory) I don't get this error, but I can't see any games, so it's probably a problem they created with 1.1.

1. Have you previously installed the Crysis 2 PC demo?
2. Have you uninstalled the demo before installing Crysis 2 retail?
3. Did you change the path for the default installation and if so, where to?
4. Which Operating System are you using? (Example: Win 7, 64-bit)
5. Where did you purchase the game from – EADM, Steam, Retail or another DD partner?
6. Can you provide the MD5 checksum for the Crysis2.exe in the game directory?
7. Which virus scanner software are you using?
I try this :( Hope it Works

Is Crytec working on this issue?
Are they aware of that here are people who can not play multiplayer at all??

Edit:
@DeeKaY89 Iknow, then I can start the multiplayer game, but I don't see any server in the list - most probably because the server are running on version 1.1?

That works for me! Thanks a lot :D
I have started the game, deactiveated the network connection, clicked on multiplayer (then a new login window appears), activated the betwork connection again and there you go!

It is weird, but finally I can play multiplayer!

Hey guys, can anyone else confirm this temporary work around?

As far as i understand it, this issue is related to firewall/router settings that crash the game when communication is prevented. A fix for this is coming soon but it'd be great if this is a confirmed work around for in the mean time.

If you have access to your router/firewall, please try forwarding ports and adding a firewall exception as per the instructions in the readme.txt (located GameCrysis2/Support/Readme.txt)

Thanks!

I assume you can not see any server because you are running on version 1.0 while the servers are running on version 1.1
This is why you should give the workaround from my previous post a shot.

And if it works for you as well, please let the admin know.
Maybe it helps to develop a proper patch for this.
