I would have to say yes! You could probably also run 4 or 8xAA if you wanted to. :)

@implosion: Yea it does.

@kabrita: It should run great. You can see some benchmarks here:

They said the loss in 3D was I don't remeber exactly the number but around 1.5% so it should play as fine as 2D

it was a 0.4% frame drop

and im pretty sure you can handle crysis2 at very high settings with at least 4xaa at that resolution with at least 30fps or maybe i higher thats my guess though i have a gtx295

I think you don't even need AA at that resolution

The 0.4% people are quoting are for Crysis2, not Crysis, which is what you're asking about.

I'm not sure how much of a performance hit nVidia's driver-based implementation costs, but i imagine it's quite a large one.

Hell yeah you can play it. 2 x GTX 480
Thats pretty powerful
And you've got a core i7 too
I could play Crysis Warhead at 1920x1080 properly with one GTX 470 and a CORE 2 DUO.

irrelevant if you ask me, with that kind of power i would play the game at a higher framerate rather than cranking up the settings even more. my 5850 gives me mostly above 40 fps (very high, 1680x1050) - if i had 80 fps i wouldnt buy a bigger monitor, i'd be happy with the smooth experience.

thats a great idea, except on TFTs you cant use a res higher than the native one and i would assume we're all using TFTs now (or plasma tvs for the enthusiasts)

3-way 480 SLI is just a complete waste of hard-earned money... one 480 does the job just fine. Even something low like a 260 is good enough, just don't but the huge ass monitors xD
