Crysis 2 PC, 360 Test Question

Post » Sat Dec 13, 2008 12:37 am

I got a link for the 360 test to confirm if I was interested. I clicked on it guessing that it would ask me to log in. However, it confirmed it using a unique link. I do not own a 360 so my question is is if I'm out of the PC testing now that I confirmed the 360 test interest thing on accident.

I didn't think that there was a PC beta. I was under the impression that it's 360 only. I would assume that you now won't be automatically given a place in the PC beta, which is unfortunate for you :/

My condolences. Whether it is within the rules for you to pass your code onto someone else, I do not know, however if it is within the rules then i would greatly appreciate it, if it is otherwise going to waste.

I also clicked the link, though I am waiting on a code of some kind so I can login on my 360 :(. Waiting :(

Same thing happened to me. Clicked sign up thinking I would maybe get more details on the site instead of it basically saying "lol gj you signed up for a 360 testing even though you dont have a 360" (Not actually what it said XD)

That seems to be just about everyone's problem. All the PC fans got signed up for the Beta, and almost none of you actually own a 360.

But we know someone that does and plan to try it on theirs or in some cases pass the key along to a friend.

The beta keys will be sent out via. Email probably. The beta will open soon, probably not before November hits, they still have to set up the master server and send the beta keys out, so probably ~1-2 weeks.

Hmm pc beta?

That is still unannounced but it is definitely not ruled out as a future beta platform.

There's been no announcement for a PC Beta yet, so i would imagine the result of this Beta will have no effect on the possibility of also a PC Beta entry. You should be safe :)

People need to be a little more careful with what they click on. The E-mail title clearly states, in capital letters "XBOX 360 Crysis 2 MP test invitation". If you can miss that, i fear for the safety of your computer what else you might click on during your browsing sessions. ;)

I was expecting a sign up page or something of that sort with details about the test.

Hopefully Crytek asks for your gold account information so people will not try to profit from the Invites.

Well, it's not very smart for Crytek to leave the PC behind. Crysis 2 could be massively improved with a Beta, both hardware and gameplay wise.

Hi guys,

This is just a tech test of Crysis 2 multiplayer. It is NOT a beta, and for the purposes of this test we need Xbox 360 users. Whether you take part in this or not will have no impact in any possible future events.

As Cry-Tom stated, this is more of a tech demo to see how well the game runs.Hopefully, the "real" beta will be accesible to PC owners as well.
