Crysis 2 6v6 MP - Official and very sad

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 6:40 pm

Can I form my own team in Crysis 2? Or this feature will be only available for consoles like almost other shooters? Personally I don't care about hosts, but I HATE random.

i am getting used to play reach on the maximum sizes, goes the same for battlefield bad company, don't you think that only 12 players will be a little small in terms of large map action?

Im sorry but 12 maximum is not the far done from Reach and B:BC.

Also all the Crysis fans do.

I dont since the FOCUS IS IN SMALLER MORE BALANCED ACTION.

what i am trying to say is that if you are in a small map with a lot of abush points, ok you are ready to see a lot of guns blazing, but on a BIIIIIIIIIG map, you might just be running around like an idiot while snipers are trying to take you down you and your team, in bad company mpas are big, the number of players in a game to, so action doesn't stop.

if it works very well, it doesn't really matter how many players there are. CS:S matches are generally 5v5.

in halo reach, all 4v4 maps are made for 4v4 only, so action has areas where it goes pretty sweet, but in in crysis, they sed that there would be a lot of verticality, so more space to run through, do you think this extra space won't make the game slower?

Well quick idea you should do this game like halo have different maps with different capacities. (yes i own a 360 but im not a fanboy)Make certain maps for 6v6 and then maybe in a DLC or a couple weeks later just update it with new bigger maps for more ppl. Hell maybe even a throwback pack go back to the jungles with tanks and helicopters or stay in New York with added vehicles. I never played the original crysis but i know it was bad a** (i could never find a computer that had a chance of running it under $700 but maybe i was looking in the wrong places) My point is i love big team games and so do alot of ppl sure CoD doesn't do that but it doesn't need to, I just feel crysis could do better with its graphics engine. This is just my thought so dont be a troll plz! Or else

Guys I'm sorry but if you have the old crysis then you will know that when servers have more than 12 players, the whole game becomes a ****. Noobtubers everywhere. Random grenades killing you. 20 people with gauss rifles. Basically noob play. Now I understand that the gauss rifle was fun to use but when a lot of people used it, it killed the game. With 6v6 you only have room for 1 sniper. The rest of the team actually have to do something.

what is this I don't even

I think I can count the number of times I've seen someone use a noobtube on the fingers of my right hand. Nobody uses it. Noobtube is not a viable option, because the SCAR/LAM combo is already better than any other weapon.

lol noobtube on crysis let me laugh xD
i sometimes play with noobtube with my mates for fun cause getting a kill with noobtube is almost impossible, you need about 3 hits with noobtube to kill someone and if you wait too long then they regain enough life to survive
also i dont see were you can get 20 ppl with gauss rifles cause gauss rifles can only be acquired at proto and your team needs at least 50% energy

Vertical means up and down.

The powers that be seem to be pushing or trying to sell the idea that C2 will have a more "tactical" type of multiplayer.

(Speaking to anyone in general) Do you know how hard it is to organize a team and play "tactical"? Considering 6 random people who end up on one side as a "team", is a stretch.
Are people who don't belong in clans or have a group of 5 friends, going to be able to join a server at will? I don't want to listen to 5 other "team mates" talking through my headphones. I rely on stealth and going unnoticed amid all the mayhem. I also rely on being able to hear my surroundings. Nothing worse than being killed by a ninja from behind.
With "prone" gone, it seems like my style of play won't work with C2.

sigh..

Good News, everyone!

http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/114/1145637p1.html

Says here "there's also a sense at times that the multiplayer sandboxes might be too much box and not enough player-sand for the max player count on consoles of 6-on-6."
And later they add "Of course, while precise PC player counts are still being finalized, I was able to cajole the word "more" out of Crysis 2's producer"

There you have it.

Posting this in the demo forum is more likely to get viewed by EA and Crytek developers directly.

FFS smells like a game made for xbox 360 only but ported to ps3 and pc with crap quality just like what happens in call of duty now come on 6v6 coz xbox is to weak to connect to big server connection based multiplayer (sigh) looks like i will quit before even the release date

I hope the PC has Power Struggle with 32 or more players in it. The thing I liked best about Crysis was that game mode. If Crysis 2 doesn't have It I'll definitely cancel my pre-order.

go ahead, it is official that pc wont have power struggle nor more than 12 players
only if they release some good mod tools that might be possible

Man why can't people use like a arcade 360 version as a dedicated server.
If i have the bandwidth and the console(or pc) and i want to run it as a dedicated server why not let me.
Dont understand how a low profile game like section 8 and the sequel to it section 8 prejudice can release software to make people home pc into a xbox live server really devs please look into it. We can atleast have server browser back actually show real ping instead of **** color bars that are easily manipulated by devs.
It doesn't cost microsoft extra money and it would make console online play way better i mean people are willing to do it on pc pay or setup a server. how much bandwidth does a dedicated server takes in a month running 24/7 several Gigabytes on upload and 1~2 gig bytes on download. Here in holland we no up/download cap but a fair use policy something like 600 gig a week never went over it. And we have nice bandwidths i mean 30mbits down and 3 mbits up is common here.
