Crysis 2 6v6 MP - Official and very sad

6v6 on PC as well? I is not funny.........
Any official word from Crytek about PC regarding amount of players?
All we know is that it's going to be more than 6v6 on PC.
It should be the minimum of 8v8 or 9v9 but might even go as far as 12v12 on some maps.
I doubt that's its gonna be 32+ though.

Actually Crysis is not the game like BF or equals. It demands a more stealthy way of combat and therefore I think a match size of 6vs6 is appropriate. I mean it's not the classical type of war, that we've got with crysis. It's more Special Forces that are fighting in the game, a small group with special armor, and not a full army of special-armored fighters, which would just not fit into the crysis universe.
And just because BF2142 needed 64 players it does not mean Crysis 2 will need them too. If you want a game like BF2142 play BF2142.
Crysis was made to be Crysis and not to imitate any other game.

I watched some gameplay video of 6v6.
It's more a hide&seek than a real FPS ...
8v8 or more would really be better

The intention for this game is to make it fun and enjoyable, not annoying and uncomfortable. If 16 players ran around on rooftops in nano suits, doing parkour and shooting each other while in strength mode, would that be fun? Not in my opinion. 6 vs. 6 is actually a pretty high number, since Crysis 2 is focused around urban environments. If you were to be in the jungle, the maximum amount of players would've been raised. Many players doesn't equal great gameplay, and you've probably already seen that with Modern Warfare 2. So please, stop complaining about the low amount of players. The limit will NOT be raised.

The final release will tell the tale of the less no of player multiplayer mode. We'll see then.

I personally found the 6 vs. 6 in the 360 demo to be appropriate for the map size. I don't see a problem with the maximum number of players increasing for the PC, but at the same time I'm not sure if it'd necessarily make for a better game. Crysis 2's multiplayer is obviously a far cry from what we saw in Crysis Wars, and if I really want to go back and play Crysis Wars again some day, I certainly can. For now, I'm rather happy with the way the Crysis 2 MP is shaping up. Yes, it's different, but may not be a bad thing.

If the demo was 6v6, it was easy to die. Especially with the spawn system lol. I wouldn't mind 6v6 on the consoles, I feel sorry for the PC gamers who feel the need for more players on a map.

Why do pc gamers always moan if game doesnt have 32 player servers. Theres a reason behind 6v6 , and its not because of anything to do with the console versions.

I much prefer playing with less players , its more confined , more team based , requires you to know where all your team mates are , and you can work to take out people. In 32 player servers you just end up running in like an idiot , dying , respawning , and vice versa.

Gears of war is a perfect example , and CS:S , it absolutely svcks when theres no team work . The maps are obviously designed for team battles and not running around riots. If your a real pc gamer , you'll understand what i mean , your all fools for thinking that 6v6 is a bad thing.

6v6 is something that im sure is fun.

but theres no reason to have the only mode as 6v6.

PC has the capability for more. So why limit it to 6v6? There is plenty of cooperation/teamwork when you increase the player count. Why limit choices/options on the PC unnecessarily?

on consoles theres pretty much no such thing as teammwork regardless. playin bc2 on consoles made me want to pull my hair out.

Yea.... the player count increased to 8v8 with a total of 16 players. Anyway, lesser players in a game is better because it reduces lag.

yes that is very stupid in deed but i never yet play the multiplayer yet, so i cant really judge the feel and gameplay so only when i get the game i wil lsay whether it is good and also why there did that is because it will be more team like cause in crysis wars there was allmost no team work cause of 32 players lol

crysis wars was more like lets all camp at the sniper rifle to get it or jsut rush around the whole time ive played it and had my fun staying together is anoying just because of killsteal

Lol wrong. The maps are big enough that some fit 16 players perfectly, while on other maps 16 still feels too small.

6v6 is complete BS they have the ability to have more players so I don't see why they don't when even on consoles 9v9 is easy to do. something that will really svck is that I play in parties with my friends a lot, and most of the time there are at least 8 of us in the party so with 6v6 it will split us up.

On big maps will be very bad play in 8vs8, crysis is not CoD, to playing in crysis you enjoy graphics, the beauty and dynamics of game, but CoD is just a skirmish. Will be a big custom maps, the game is 8vs8 players will not be epic for them.

I mean Crysis servers used to be 40-50 players but now why 12?
I have personaly seen many multiplayer videos about crysis 2 but all of them are on xbox
Are you sure that they just leave it like this for xbox and they might focus more on pc?
Anyway it's just a beta
You can't judge from only a multiplayer client with 1 map
That's my opinion :D

I played the Beta on the Xbox and it was great to play 6on6 :)

I think its because of the Dedicated servers that cant be on own Roots, they are too expensive to bring much power.

Considering how quick the respawn is I don't really think it matters. When I compare the pace of action to a game like Bad Company 2 which has 12v12 I don't lose much: in fact I feel that the pace is much more frantic with everyone actively hunting for kills rather than camping which is hard to do in this game considering the unlocks such as the proximity alarm.

The only real reason to have more players is if you want to have a huge frag fest with your friend , but honestly how many friends do you really have that will also have this game? Not all games are going to cater to all your needs. Why not accept a game for what it is. As much as people complain about how many clones of whatever are out there you sure want every game to feature every other games features.

I can see why it would be 6 vs. 6 on console as it seems to be console hosted. In no way should it be only 6 vs. 6 for PC though especially if they are using dedicated servers. Doesn't make any sense!
